New Jersey has filed the first lawsuits for alleged price gouging stemming from Superstorm Sandy.

Attorney General Jeffrey Chiesa  on Friday announced the state is suing seven gas stations and a hotel in northern New Jersey.

The first charged higher prices than everyone else and was convicted of price gouging. The second charged lower prices than everyone else and was convicted of dumping and cutthroat competition. The third charged the same prices as everyone else and was convicted of collusion.
