Elections in 18 months as factions struggle for control
India's Foreign Minister S.M. Krishna has submitted his resignation, according to two government officials familiar with the matter.
Krishna sent his letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, seeking to be relieved of his ministerial duties, the officials said, asking not to be identified because they aren't authorized to speak on the subject. The resignation has been accepted and forwarded to the President, one of the officials said.
