U.K. PM Fails Letterman's British History Quiz

So it's not just us. Whew.

British Prime Minister David Cameron failed to excel on a British history quiz administered by American talk show host David Letterman.

Letterman initially asked Cameron, "Do you mind if I ask you a lot of dumb American questions?" and proceeded to test Cameron's general knowledge.

Cameron was unable to provide the English translation of Magna Carta (Great Charter) or name the composer of Rule Britannia (Thomas Ame).

Cameron's appearance on the Late Show overshadowed his earlier speech to the UN General Assembly, at least in the British media.
