Syrian Female Artists Go on Hunger Strike
Want to put pressure on Arab League to support rebels
A group of female Syrian artists, writers and poets will begin a hunger strike in front of the Arab League headquarters in Cairo's Tahrir Square on Tuesday evening.
Syrian poets Lina El-Tabeeby and Rasha Omran, artist Louise Abdel-Kerim, and activists Salma Gazayerly and Rola El-Kheshn will take part in the hunger strike, according to the Al-Ahram Arabic news website.
