It's fun to beat up on Malcolm Gladwell, but who here has the guts to take Michio Kaku to task for speculating WAY too much?
Isn't this an article on how to write a Seth Godin book?
Michio Kaku goes off to woo woo land all the time, but it's like there's two of him. There's the one who explains things on news shows, and then there's the one who indulges wild speculation on "Coast to Coast AM." Like Capt. Kirk or Cmdr. Riker, he has his own transporter-created twin, possibly from the future, and if you give him 10 minutes, he'll tell you how that might just really be, in fact, the case!
Funny, you mention Riker. He's the one guy on the bridge who needs things to be explained to him in Gladwellian terms.

Priceless.
I seriously could spend all day on that site.
I knew some people in middle management at work that displayed a bunch of ridiculous business books on their desks. Not lined up on a shelf, but with covers out, standing in a book store like display, so everyone could see how smart they are. It always made me laugh when I walked by.
Isn't there a relevant line from Good Will Hunting?
There's always a relevant line from Good Will Hunting. Also Shawshank, at least one of the Star Trek movies, and a Kevin Smith movie.
Yeah, but how many of those movies has one of the characters ridiculously suggesting that someone should read Howard Zinn's A People's History of the United States instead?
