NCAA Rejects Paterno Family Appeal of Sanctions
Relatives sought to challenge findings of coach's involvement in Sandusky cover-up.
The NCAA said it will not consider an appeal of sanctions against Penn State filed by late coach Joe Paterno's family, who sought to challenge the finding that the coach was involved in the school's cover-up of a child sex-abuse scandal.
"The Penn State sanctions are not subject to appeal," NCAA spokesman Bob Williams in a statement to USA TODAY Sports on Friday.
