Here Come the Attack Ads!
As the 2012 election season gets into late-summer swing, over $100 million in attack ads from Team Obama and Team Romney have been aired so far, with many more to come.
Travel back now to 2008, to a simpler America, and this attack ad.

Good morning reason!
I LOL’ed.
If Ds want to point out the negative policies of Rs and Rs want to point out the negative policies of Ds, who are we libertarians to stop them?
Wow that ad is great…totally missed it in 2008.
I love attack ads and wish there more of them. The only time politicians tell the truth is about other politicians and only if the latter stand in the way of the former getting reelected.
However some attacks ads can backfire, like that Canadian attack ad used in 1993 by the Conservative party of Canada against the leader of the Liberal party of the era, Jean Chr?tien, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PikszBkfTHM
$100 million in attack ads? Think of how many businesses we didn’t build with that money.
One of the good things about living in a state where the outcome is not in doubt is we don’t have to listen to many ads of any type. The downside is the Democratic primary is the defacto election.

An issue-free ad campaign irritates me no end. Political campaign ads are supposed to inspire me to vote for the guy featured in the ad because of the positions he holds, and will represent, in that seat. Ads comprised entirely of “My opponent is the anti-Christ,” followed by “I am (candidate) and I approved this message,” inspire me to vote for the guy whose name you just spent 30 seconds repeating over and over — not the guy reading the mandated fine print at the end.
This had meant all food had to be prepared in advance and kept warm on the trucks. This was not only difficult and challenging from a culinary perspective but was a legally mandated food-safety nightmare waiting to happen.
Wow, even spambots post to the wrong article sometimes.
