Brickbat: Eat It
In Argyll, Scotland, Martha Payne, 9, began photographing her school lunches each day and posting them, along with a review of the food, on her blog. She quickly gained a large following, but after less than two months, school officials ordered her to stop photographing her food. One day later, after media around the world picked up the story, they changed their minds and said she could resume photographing the food.

On the one hand, I was completely against them stopping this girl from taking pictures of her lunches and posting them online.
On the other hand, Jamie Oliver is a big supporter of hers, so I want her to self-immolate. Pictures would be optional.
Reviews of Scottish food? Is she like an eskimo with 32 different words for puke?
OK, they're responsible for deep-fried Mars bars*, but they also give us wild salmon and malt whisky, so it's not all bad
* this sounds like Elvis food - presumably the Scottish palate influenced Southern food.
Yup - the Scots generally have a serious sweet-tooth.
They fry anything.
This brickbat seems like a repeat.
Girls get sunburns so bad they needed medical attention because teachers wouldn't let them put on sunscreen.
Policy was followed. Nothing else happened.

For liability reasons, most states consider sunscreen as an over-the-counter medication requiring a prescription
WTF. I'm amazed I lived through childhood at all, without these thoughtful interventionists constantly mitigating my risks.
Fucking *sunscreen*?
Scotland, eh? Do the school lunches ever contain that 'orrible 'aggis?
Some of the photos seem to be of stuff she prepared herself. Can't tell what to mock.
And...if you don't eat your haggis, you won't get any Scotch in a Can!* How can you have any Scotch in a Can if you won't eat your haggis?
*see http://articles.nydailynews.co.....moke-shots
Along with canned whisky comes canned haggis. Hmmmmm.
I would have to totally agree with that dude. Wow.

A 9 year old with a blog?
Clearly needs to be stopped.
Looks like she eats a lot better than the crap they feed my kid at school. I'd think that the school would want to show that off.
