A. Barton Hinkle on How the Washington Redskins Are Fleecing Virginia Taxpayers
The announcement that the Washington Redskins will move their training camp to Richmond was met with mixed emotions, as they say. It's certainly great news for Virginia's capital city. On the other hand, a fair number are shocked at the public funds being lavished on the team. The Skins are the the third-richest sports franchise on the planet, writes A. Barton Hinkle, and yet Virginia will subsidize the team to the tune of just over $6 million.
