Money Flees From Eurozone, Gary Johnson Polling at 7% in NH, Rosa Parks Estate In Dispute: P.M. Links
-
Capital flight isn't just a Greek phenomenon — billions of euros are pouring from Belgium, France, Italy and Spain, with much landing in the UK, as depositors go hunting for safe havens for their money.
- Saying, "I do not believe a republic can exist if you permit the military to arrest American citizens and put them in secret prisons and be denied a trial," Ron Paul added his liberty-loving support to a bill sponsored by Rep. Adam Smith, D-Wash., and Rep. Justin Amash, R-Mich, that would ensure due process rights are guaranteed to anyone detained in the United States.
- Not only is Mitt Romney matching the incumbent president's tepidity of support, but also his fundraising. The GOP candidate brought in $40.1 million in April, close to Obama's $43.6 million haul.
- George Zimmerman was diagnosed with a broken nose, two black eyes and lacerations after his encounter with Trayvon Martin, lending support to his story that the shooting of Martin occurred in response to an assault. Autopsy results on Martin showed injuries to his knuckles.
- Gary Johnson is polling at seven percent in New Hampshire and six percent in North Carolina. Added to his standing in other recent state-level polls, he seems nicely positioned to make Barry and Mitt sweat a little.
- New scientific evidence supports something java heads have always known: coffee is good for you and extends life. Just don't get between us and the pot.
- The estate of civil rights icon Rosa Parks was looted, claims attorney Stephen G. Cohen, who has filed suit alleging Judge Freddie Burton Jr. conspired with probate lawyers John Chase Jr. and Melvin Jefferson Jr. to run up unnecessary legal fees and freeze out Parks's intended heirs.
- Ever-vigilant to shield residents from … something, Massachusetts officials dispatched armed environmental police to shut down an ice cream stand at a public dairy farm after manager, Mark Duffy, expanded the stand without a permit. Said a puzzled Duffy, who lives on the farm, "I make improvements every single day and have for 26 years." (HT db)

...that would ensure due process rights are guaranteed to anyone detained in the United States.
That's important enough that they should try to get it into the Constitution somewhere.
Stupid Flanders Founders.
I thought it had inserted itself? Cause the Constitution is a "living document" and all?
No?
Nice alt-text! Power pop is alive and well in the Reason offices?
As well it should be...the 80's produced great music and the 90's were a magical ACE of BASE time...
Maximus saw the sign... and he moved to Ukraine because of it.
ACE of BASE is Swedish, Goldie!!!
You're dead to me. DEAD!
*barf*
The sign I was referring to was Obamacare, you fool!
Sorry, I LOVE me some ACE of BASE! You're lucky I didn't sick TAO on you.

NBC took a different angle with the Martin autopsy and is crowing about how the coroner determined that Martin was shot at "intermediate range".
I'm not a gun expert or a forensics expert, but from what I understand, intermediate range can be anywhere from 12 inches to a 3 feet.
They don't say. And I have no idea what that means. If he was shot at five or six feet away, that is very damaging to Zimmerman. But they never say what "intermediate range" means. And since NBC has consistently lied about this, I am not believing them here.
After what they've already been caught doing, NBC would do well to shy away from airing their speculation.
Dr. Michael Baden, the former New York City medical examiner, said "intermediate" in such cases is defined as the muzzle of the gun being one to 18 inches away from the entry point when fired.
"If the muzzle is right against the skin, that's a contact wound," Baden said. Anything beyond 18 inches is considered "distant" range in coroner's parlance, Baden said.
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012.....z1vA5he21Z
Then that doesn't mean anything. He could have been shot at six inches and that would be consistent with Zimmerman's story.
My God what scumbags NBC is. The lay person reading "intermediate" would think it being at least a few feet away. And they know that. And don't define it properly specifically to leave that impression.
Intermediate in my mind was like 6-feet when I first read that.
I was thinking more like 400 yards....but that's sniper talk...
The coroners office has furnished the pictures, and now NBC shall furnish the (race) war.
Meanwhile, let's continue to ignore when the police beat a man like Kelly Thomas to death, because he isn't the right color and doesn't fit the narrative.
This was done on purpose John.
More on determining the range of fire WRT a gunshot wound:

From the above @ 5:08:
In general, substances exiting the barrel of a gun along with the bullet will be deposited on the skin if muzzle is within 2 feet of the victim's body.

VERY gory PDF here.
VERY gory PDF here.
My gorge rises at it.
Is this what you guys read at the office?
Surgeon, plu. This is Sesame Street level stuff. Try doing it in person, with a live patient or a doing a cut down on a cadaver. I did two autopsies two weeks ago for pathology supplementation (supervised, of course).
That one in the middle of the woman's(?) forehead is what got me. That's one hell of a hole.
I was going to say, "cool story, bro"....but I looked at the PDF. So:
COOL STORY, BRO! It wasn't THAT gory. Interesting how it all kind of looks all CSI-y in the pictures.
Cool -thanks!
What it means is the victim industry is going to play the cop conspiracy card again. They have a deck full of those.
Some expert guy on TV estimated the distance from the coroner's description as 2" to 4".
Plus this:
Martin had THC, the drug found in marijuana, in his blood on the night of his death, according to the autopsy. His family told ABC News that it was "trace amounts" of THC.
Maybe if Martin had more THC in his system he would be alive today.
So if you're on you back and someone's pinning you to the ground banging your head on the pavement and you shoot from near the hip that's certainly within 18" or so, depending on where the entry wound is.
That's the major implication of the finding.
It would have been devastating to Zimmerman's defense if the forensics said they were many feet apart.
So, as coroners go, "close range" is zero to 1 inch?
DL or view the PDF @ 5:12, FdA.
Dr. Michael Baden, the former New York City medical examiner, said "intermediate" in such cases is defined as the muzzle of the gun being one to 18 inches away from the entry point when fired.

I take that to mean that he didn't have any powder burns. Doesn't say much.
Story on Yahoo news says the muzzle was "two to four" inches away from Martin when he was shot.
"The gunshot wound entrance was from a bullet fired from "intermediate range," or two to four inches, "a soot ring abrasion and a two-inch by two-inch area of stippling" on his body."

The eminently predictable PuffHo commentariat at work.
By the way, if any of you are looking for psychics/clairvoyants, the Huffington Post commentariat seems to be an ideal source. So many of them know exactly what happened between George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin.
I mean, when a guy with the subtitle "Obama. There is no substitute" asserts without evidence that an intermediate range shot means that Zimmerman could have escaped, you just have to believe him.
Also, 8.5" away from somebody is not "close", apparently. Somebody tell the dance chaperones!
A pox on your house for that alt text, Tucille! Dammit!
George Zimmerman was diagnosed with a broken nose, two black eyes and lacerations after his encounter with Trayvon Martin, lending support to his story that the shooting of Martin occurred in response to an assault.
Or, does it just mean his racial gun had more racist kick than he racially anticipated???
He shot him, then beat himself up.

He totally would have creamed his pants on this. If he was still here his squirming would be so schadenfreudelicious.

Filing that under semen, are we? 😉
Ooohhhhh yes.
BTW I just witnessed a fucked up car accident on my way home. Airborne SUV, driver ejected about 100 yd from me at 55 *cough* mph. Woman landed right on her head and got a huge gash. I pull over and call 911 and while getting them on the phone some lady starts moving the victim( who is conscious and sitting up, unbelievably) off the road. Putting on my best "I've had CPR training" face, I tell the woman not to move the victim. She keeps doing so so I tell he more forcefully. She comes over and gets right in my face and says, "I'm an ER doctor and this woman needs to get out of the road."
Yes, ma'am. Your patient. Cand I render any assistance?
Guess she told you.
Did she give you anything to do?
No, as I was on the line with 911.
You both did the right thing. The best lessons are learned the hard way.

It always bothers me when the greatest country on Earth taxes its most productive citizens to the point where they renounce citizenship and emigrate. I am really upset that the Federal government is doing that, and the states and local municipalities that are doing it too.
Schumer and Hatch, a couple of douchebags.
We would like to retain our Greatest Country on Earth title, thank you very much. So drop this stupid legislation.
As I demonstrated in the A.M. Links, it's superfluous and unnecessary, like most of the government and their alphabet soup agencies.
I have a bill: REMOVAL (Repeal and Erase Mendacious and Overzealous Violations of American Liberties).
Seconded. There are quite a few around here with a talent for acronyms.
I sneaked out a copy of the Acronymicon during my White House fellowship. That must be why they can't label laws effectively anymore--I took their only copy.
Is it really bound with the flesh of virgin interns?

He helped start a company with thousands of employees, that will pay billions in taxes and he paid the exit fee of nearly 500 mil...he should get a medal. But the envy class thinks he hasn't paid his fair share because the govt created the conditions for his success.
Because it's outrageous for a man who lives in Singapore to not want to pay taxes to a country he doesn't live in.
I wasn't aware that the Facebook IPO was being offered in the Singaporean legal system.
If you make money in the US, the US collects the taxes on it. Wherever you live. Explain how this is unjust.
If that's true then Saverin is not saving any money by renouncing his citzenship and Schumer and Hatch are getting worked up over nothing. If it's not, how is Schumer's and Hatch's reaction to Saverin just?
I'm pretty sure the English Parliament was terribly offended when all of those dreadful colonists renounced their citizenship to avoid the holy rite of paying taxes.
Washington D.C. is a terrible place.
You already have to pay an exit tax based on all your assets.
Fuck Schumer.
Added to his standing in other recent state-level polls, he seems nicely positioned to make Barry and Mitt sweat a little.
I'm guessing mostly Mitt, not so much Barry.
Hey, the 25 team BlUE voters with actual principles will flock to Johnson!
My progressive lesbian friends say they would vote for Johnson. They are not happy with Obama.
Well, given that Johnson's stance on gay marriage is actually stronger than Obama's, that should not surprise me but it does.
Seriously, the only "gay rights" issue that Obama beats Johnson on is that Johnson does not believe that what is in a person's head should be illegal. The fact that he does not get more gay support makes me seriously don't the principles of... well, I have to say a majority of the gay community, because a majority will vote Obama.
It's not just gay rights that they like about him. They strongly detest Obama's lust for war. Other stuff too. Like Gitmo.
Holy shit, I never knew that "Glenn Greenwald" was actually the psuedonym for a lesbian couple!
I thought the whole point of lesbianism was that they didn't like Johnsons.
Are you proud of that?

Here's a hint, Canada: get better stuff in your stores at lower tax rates so your own people can buy in-country.
Well, it's all the same stuff, but yes the taxes, and higher cost of doing business in Canada is pretty much to blame here.
I was taking more exception with the usage of the word "drain". It isn't a drain. Consumers got stuff, brought it back into the country, and saved money. That's all win in my book.
It's also being used to chastise the Harper government over allowing more duty-free imports on short-term cross-border trips.

Being too lazy to look, isn't that a little far from Ontario?
It's maybe 5 hours to Toronto. Well worth the drive to get a year's worth of clothes for your kids, tax-free.
Holy shit, I forgot about that goddamn place. My parents used to haul us up there to buy school clothes when I was in high school.

Did you find pictures of the old Pechin's, gawd it was a fucking freak show. They had a cafeteria that sold $.25 burgers and $.15 hot dogs. It was filled most fucked motley assortment of specimens on a saturday morning.
I once watched a one-legged man beat his mongoloid daughter with his cane for taking the last burger in that cafeteria. No shit.

When reading feminist blogs for teh lulz, every so often a commenter appears, like a diamond in a pile of shit. (though I do like the metaphor he used, the problem, as always, is what they use it to justify).
This is one such commenter:
(cont.)
he/she has more good stuff in there. If you're interested, just ctrl-f "as says".
Easiest way to start a feminist flame war? Start a conversation on which is "Highest difficulty setting".
Seriously, half of all feminist debate devolves into a "Who is more priveleged" pissing match, with whoever has the most privelege being automatically wrong, and whoever has the least privilege being automatically right. The problem is, there is no agreement on if race is more important than gender, which race is most oppressed, and how trannies fit into the whole thing. Every time one of those debates break out, at least half the people walk away super butthurt.
This one won the oppression bingo on a blackout card:
She has one mark against her: She is an American. If you added all of those things and then said, "South African" then you, madam, have won the game.

Dude!!!
Step the fuck away from feminist anything if you ever want to get laid.
I have a better idea. Fuck 'tribes' and deal with people as individuals.
Agreed. That's the whole problem with the privilege discussion. They use it to perpetuate the attitudes they claim to abhor.

Well if "they" got specilal privileges on account of their race and gender, why shouldn't [insert victim]?
I have a better idea. Fuck 'tribes' and deal with people as individuals.
NPR would have to fire dozens of reporters and newspeople who approach every story from an identity politics angle. That wouldn't be creating or saving jobs...
I am guessing he was mercilessly flamed.
Mostly ignored. They didn't want to deal with that, since there are no pithy responses on the "feminism 101" pages that cover it.
Scalzi probably had to resist the urge to banhammer him, as he did with about 5% of the 800 comments there (which he then bragged about before following up with another brainless, substanceless, childish post).
I typically like Scalzi, but he can be an arrogant prick.
Reminds me of when I briefly followed Wil Wheaton on Google+, just for shits and grins (I'll do just about anything that Felicia Day asks of me). He supposedly has this "don't be a dick" policy, posts a very dickish TEAM BLUE partisan rant and then can't understand why people are being dicks in response.
He regressed to his Gordie LaChance days. What a tampon!
I looked at the Scalzi post that started it and I can't figure out for the life of me why A) he would feel the need to even post something like that to begin and B) why I should even have fucks to give on the matter.
Life isn't fair. It's even less fair when partisan turds obsess over identity politics. Next!
Wil Wheaton never got over the richly deserved fandom hate for the playing worst sci-fi character of all time. Turns out he really is a whiny, faggoty douchenozzle IRL, trying to make up for years of microagressive othering.
Wil Wheaton never got over the richly deserved fandom hate for the playing worst sci-fi character of all time.
Pretty much. I was willing to give the guy a pass and second chance, but any interest in doing so evaporated then and there.
Scalzi has gotten very into identity politics in the last couple of years, and as a card-carrying member of TEAM BLUE happily eats the ration of shit they dole out while they all march in lockstep. It is very sad; I used to enjoy his blog. But he's frankly gotten kind of weird about some things.
My entire response to him would have been:
"Yes, and.... What do you propose as a solution, Mrs. Moon Glampers?"
Yes, it is a shame that he's drunk the blue Kool-Aid so. He's a talented and enjoyable writer, but I don't need yet another mouthpiece for the status evil.
"...other GBF, who will work hard to give her a leg up..."
I bet they will.
Hey, they get their licks in.
"...George Zimmerman was diagnosed with a broken nose, two black eyes and lacerations after his encounter with Trayvon Martin, lending support...."
Regarding Martin's knuckle injuries; The information could support George Zimmerman's claim that Martin beat him up before Zimmerman shot and killed him.
Support. I love that word. It doesnt matter how much 'support' is given to Zimmerman's story, no amount of hard evidence or witness testimony or video of the event will make any difference in the eyes of NBC, angela corey, the NBPP, or the left in general. They are going to stick to the narrative come hell, high water or even hoodie martin coming back from the dead and confessing to attempting to kill Zimmerman.
If there is any good that comes of this, I hope it's that thugs realize that jacking people carries risks, making them think twice.
Bernard Goetz says, "Hi! Remember me?"
It had an impact.
It's just as likely that law-abiding citizens realize that defending themselves against thugs carries risks.
The thugs generally have much better odds in these situations, and a great deal less to lose than we do. Thanks to decades of "don't resist, don't risk your life over a few dollars" pussy propaganda. Our campus police routinely send out crime reports reiterating that you should never resist, just trust the police to catch the criminal based on the laughably vague descriptions the victims give. "approximately 6 feet tall, African-American male in his 20s wearing a blue shirt" and the like.
Every major CCW/self defense course I've ever been to mentions that the average self defense shooting costs the victim $40,000 in legal defense.

You would think that lawyers would grasp the concepts of ex post facto and whatever the term is for passing a law to penalize a specific individual (the term escapse me at the moment.
I'm going with "douchebaggery" even though it's not an official legal term.
Just remembered it's a Bill of Attainder.
Actually the main text refers to "those like" Saverin, not Saverin himself as the target of the bill.
The headline is misleading, as they are wont to be.
This should be called "The Hotel California Bill."
"Ex-PATRIOT" is a clever name.
And the refusal to allow renouncers to re-enter the US sounds like common sense to me, regardless of the reason for renunciation. "Don't Tread On Me" isn't just a catchy thing to put on a flag.
Why should renouncers not be allowed back in if they then become citizens of a country with which we have visa agreements?
I mean, why would we want those billionaires spending any money here?
Treaties would supercede a mere Act of Congress.
And if the US economy is dependent on renouncer tourism, we're in deep trouble indeed.
I was thinking more along the lines of buying mansions and setting up corporate headquarters because who is going to station their business in a country in which they are not allowed.
I'm pretty certain Saverin to an oath of citizenship, not an oath of vassalage.
Hmm, government officials seeing citizens as serfs, someone should write a book on that theme.
So you guys are all cooking with Elizabeth Warren tonight as well, right?
I giggled out loud at work on that.

Gary Johnson is polling at seven percent in New Hampshire and six percent in North Carolina.
He also recently polled at 8% in Montana and 15% in New Mexico.
Pretty good numbers considering how early it still is in the 2012 election kabuki theater. Here's hoping he can get 15% and get into the debates. If these numbers are any indication, 5% and qualifying for matching funds in 2016 is a definite possiblity.
Debates? Those fucks will just change the qualifications to get in. So what e3r GJ has it will be that + X%.

I was not trying to leet speak.
If there is no Paul I may just vote for Johnson. Not that it will matter one bit in California.
Though it would be nice if Romney's losing margin was less than the percentage of Johnson voters.
The hate from team red will be like mana from the sky.
I was hoping he could do better then that in New Mexico. I mean, jeez....the state as a whole elected him twice. I know he's third party, and people are all hurr durr team hur durr, but if I thought a guy was a good governor, I'd vote for him for President.
It's happening at a terrifying pace! Greece, Spain, the whole world! We're being overrun by little girls who do nothing but stamp their feet and scream: "I want my pony!!!!"
Individuals have become infected. Many of them expect never-ending government services, that someone else will pay for. They think they will get a nice huge pension when they retire because, well, just because. They think they have a right to buy a beautiful house at a low interest rate and then never have the price go down.
Banks' board rooms are full of foot-stompin' cuties. Their tantrums have become legendary when faced with the fact that there are consequences to their risky decisions. What, face the music? Go bankrupt? I never!
And finally, we have two nice daddies, who surely don't want their precious little ones to cry.
The Central Banks say, "Now now, hush your tears. I'll just give out free money to everyone! Of course, the free money goes to the government first, and then to banks, but don't worry dear! You'll get your welfare check or risky loan, no problem!"
Then the governments come around, to hush the tears some more. "We have plenty of debt to go around! We'll create a job for you! Are food prices going up because of daddy #1? No problem, we've got you covered. Did you make a mistake with that big mortgage? I won't let you feel the pain. Banks, you stop your fittin, too. I have what you need. You're too big to fail. There there, I've got you now."

http://nymag.com/daily/intel/2.....ml?mid=rss
The lack of curiosity on the part of the author of this article is confusing, as is his spiteful attack on Breitbart.com, and even the tone. He certainly sounds like a hack for Obama. What proof does Jonathan Chait provide us that this was indeed a blunder on the part of Obama's literary agent? At best all that is presented here is speculation on Chaits part. That somehow passes as journalism at NYMAG.com?
It does lead to a different take on the birthers, doesn't it.
"You must be racist to believe what his literary agent wrote about him, at the time he was under his employ."
It usually just stops at "you must be racist".
What I infer, given this and what his Pakistani college friend said about Obama's invented identity, going from international to American, it is highly likely, Obama was passing himself off as a Kenyan on those unreleased college transcripts.
That it is the best case scenario, not for an anti-Obama guy like me who'd like to see him get the chair for his assassination policy, but for the country. I hope it isn't worse. If it is, we have a full blown Constitutional crises of historical proportions on our hands.
If you ask me, his citizenship is more or less entirely immaterial when his ideology is shared by millions and millions. You're not putting the genie back in the bottle that easily.
Enjoying the sight of Obama supporters shitting themselves, back to the tough for more.
Here is a supporter who just oozes sanctimony:
AvenueHebrew
This is maybe the silliest aspect of all the shenanigans going on here. None of you actually seem to understand what the material was, or how it likely came into being. Clearly none of you work in media or publishing.
It was a pamphlet promoting Acton Dystel's stable of literary talent, and featured bios on dozens of other authors. Did Obama write it? Of course not -- an author almost never writes his or her own bio, and is generally more concerned with the task of writing the actual book. Did Obama's agent write it? Almost certainly not, because agents are too busy handling contracts and deals for several clients to be bothered with scribbling down print-ready blurbs about each author.
The rest is just more impotent rage.
Speaking of obscene individualism, this entry was seriously included in Wikipedia's post on the movie "Conan the Barbarian" (the Scharzenegger version):
"Academics and critics interpreted the film as advancing the themes of fascism or individualism, with the fascist angle featured in most of the criticisms of the film."
Yes, there's nothing more fascistic than raw individualism.
Did they see the same movie I remember?
Sounds like a real expert on the subject.
Yeah, because the tightly bundled rods of the fasces are totally a symbol of do-what-you-want individualism.
*audible chuckle/snort*
3rd rate film critic is also a 4th rate political scientist, who knew?
So, JEJ's character was just like Conan except for the part where he beckoned attractive young women to their death to stroke his ego?
I am in the process of acquiring a, um, apparatus for for purifying water by adding heat that has some other uses. Anyone know good recipes for 'shine?
Paging Saccharin Man...Paging Saccharin Man...please pick up the racially-neutral courtesy phone...
Actually, Groovus, because of the historic nature of courtesy telephones being white, courtesy telephones should now be black, to give black telephones a leg up.
Racially-Neutral telephone policies are, in fact, RACIST!
WHAT ABOUT THE TRANSGENDER PHONES YOU TROGLODYTE!!??
What colour phone does Elizabeth Warren use?
The 1/16th red phone
Here's an excerpt from one of the Foxfire books that should get you started.
If you don't already own the Foxfire books I would recommend them.
To make alternative fuel (ethanol) for my scooter, I use the following:
one reflux distillation device
one pack of turbo yeast
10 lbs of sugar
5 gallons clean water
Mix the water , sugar and yeast in a 6 gallon fermentation bucket. I use an air lock to watch the bubbling but it isn't necessary. In 5-7 days you should have a mash that is 18-22% ethanol. A 4-5 hour run though your properly tuned reflux distillation device should yield approx 1 gallon of 80-90% fuel.
I've also had good results using molasses if you don't mind aging your fuel in a charred oak barrel for 6 months to a year.
No P.M. link to the "Obama was born in Kenya" biographical sketch his literary agents had out from 1991-2007?
How did Sheriff Joe miss that?
Too busy trying to find the missing international flight passenger manifests into Hawaii the week of Obama's "birth".
I find it more amusing that it was on the literary agent's website until 2007.
More likely too busy grafting and embezzling, MCSO is corrupt as fuck and those lower in the ranks take their cues from the leadership.
Americans Elect folds tents, silently steals away.

What, was Bloomberg busy or something?
Seriously, I never get this "Centrist" love for the shitstain that is Bloomberg.
Most self-described "Centrists" are just people who want to curtail both economic and social freedom. That's why "bipartisan" legislation always sucks so much.
Trayvon Martin was high on drugs when he met his demise.
Jesus. It's weed. Not PCP or meth.
It says drugs in his system - does that prove he was high? Someone with expertise - could you enlighten me?
Blood tests, unlike urinalysis, detect the presence illicit drugs, not inactive drug metabolites. In general, THC only remains detectable in the blood of cannabis consumers for a few hours (though low, residual levels may be detected in chronic smokers for up to 12-24+ hours if more sensitive technology is used). Because of this narrow detection window, blood tests are typically only administered in the workplace post-accident in order to estimate recent cannabis consumption. Therefore, most after-hours consumers have little to fear from a blood screen.

No. And it's entirely irrelevant, unless you think weed makes people aggressive. SIV's just mad that Reason hasn't officially endorsed Romney yet.
Maybe G-Zim had a bag of Doritos and wouldn't share.
It's not irrelevant from a legal perspective. Trace cannabis metabolites can send you to prison after a fatal accident.
So your claim is that if you kill a person with MJ in their system it's automatically not murder?
Not sure how this factoid is relevant otherwise.
Only a dumbass would say I'm making that claim.
Legally "trace metabolites" can equal impairment.
In this case Trayvon's behavior can be portrayed as marijuana-induced paranoia. Zimmerman's 911 call about someone "high on drugs" as an astute observation. It doesn't really matter as the case will never make it to a jury.
I didn't say you were making that claim, only that there's no other possibly relevant claim that it would support.
If caffeine was found in Zimmerman's system, does that mean his stalking behavior was due to caffeine hyperactivity and thus he was in the wrong?
Other than the arbitrary distinction between legal and illegal drugs (which IIRC you agree is fallacious), I fail to see how that's any difference between that argument and the one you're attempting to make.
The LAW considers any trace of "narcotics" to be per se evidence of impairment in some circumstances.
Marijuana isn't a narcotic.
(30) The term narcotic drug means any of the following whether produced directly or indirectly by extraction from substances of vegetable origin or independently by means of chemical synthesis or by a combination of extraction and chemical synthesis:
(i) Opium, opiates, derivatives of opium and opiates, including their isomers, esters, ethers, salts, and salts of isomers, esters, and ethers whenever the existence of such isomers, esters, ethers and salts is possible within the specific chemical designation. Such term does not include the isoquinoline alkaloids of opium.
(ii) Poppy straw and concentrate of poppy straw.
(iii) Coca leaves, except coca leaves and extracts of coca leaves from which cocaine, ecgonine and derivatives of ecgonine or their salts have been removed.
(iv) Cocaine, its salts, optical and geometric isomers, and salts of isomers.
(v) Ecgonine, its derivatives, their salts, isomers and salts of isomers.
(vi) Any compound, mixture, or preparation which contains any quantity of any of the substances referred to in paragraphs (b)(31)(i) through (v) of this section.
LAW PWNED.
Note the scare quotes around the word.
Tell the narco squad they have no reason to arrest you for your "non-narcotic" marijuana.
And it's irrelevant since (I hope) you agree that the law in question is arbitrary and stupid.
The source is NORML but no matter how I link it the filter wants to call it spam. It makes me wonder if the filter list was made by some third-party company or something with an anti-drug agenda, hah.
I just heard a recording of an eye witness who said Martin was on top of Zimmerman "just laying down blows like an MMA fighter and that Zimmerman was screaming" (contradicting Martin's girlfriend's claim). He said he told him to stop and when Martin didn't he told him he was going to call 911 and then shut the door to his house.
There is no way in the world they are going to get a conviction.
But what about the profiling?
"profiling" is a loaded word. Zimmerman said Martin was acting suspiciously, and that seems to me like a reasonable description of Trayvon on that night.
It's just CULTURE WAR bullshit from SIV. MJ stays in your system for days to weeks and as Warren said it wasn't PCP or meth.
Oh, I misparsed the article the first time I read it, they screened both blood and urine. Yeah, that could be a while.
It also says "trace amount." It's just bullshit blame the alleged victim. Whether Zimmerman is guilty or not has nothing to do with whether either of them had THC in their system.
It's legally relevant. Zimmerman told the 911 operator Trayvon appeared "high on drugs os something. The forensics show he was correct.
As stated before, the forensics don't show that Martin was high on MJ at the time of death. Further, it was likely just a lucky guess, as determining whether someone is high at night from a distance is a step below bite-mark analysis on the reliability scale.
Parse it all you want Tulpa. The blood evidence shows Trayvon had likely smoked that day. Judges, attorneys and juries aren't likely to totally dismiss the evidence as "Oh, it's just weed not PCP or meth".
So what's your point? That judges and juries are stupid and can be swayed by irrelevant points? No argument there.
But you seem to think this actually has relevance to whether G-Zim was in the right.
Relevance to his legal case yes.I haven't seen anything to persuade me Zimmerman was in the wrong since the incident was first reported.
Of course not, it's a KULTUR WAR issue.
I seriously doubt this will have any relevance to the trial, if it ever happens. It probably won't even be admissible as evidence.
Nothing Zimmerman has claimed has been refuted by slid evidence.
solid
Nothing that Trayvon Martin has claimed has been refuted by solid evidence either.
This is beyond stupid, even for you Tulpa.
There is none so stupid as he who refuses to think.
Explain how my statement is less relevant to Martin's innocence than EAP's to Zim's innocence.
Explain your own statement. I've wasted my time refuting nearly everything you've said.
Nothing that Trayvon Martin has claimed ...
My brain hurts.
It's like registration caused a fucking troll vacuum and Tulpa had to fill it.
White Tulpa, Trayvon is dead, so he has made no claims.
will Smith is so cool he calls the Prez barrack!

billions of euros are pouring from Belgium, France, Italy and Spain, with much landing in the UK...
This might be why the Koch brothers are our financial landlords, and not me. I would have chosen a pale of sand from Mali over UK real estate and currency.
Yeah I find it strange that they'd choose the UK, but I presume it must easier to open bank accounts by foreigners or other EU nationals there perhaps. Companies like goldmoney.com are in the UK allowing many (and I'd say mostly) international clients. However in some shit-hits-the-fan scenario, I wouldn't trust the UK at all.
It's a jump for me wear Greek man's shoes who has some savings he wants to protect. Switzerland and Hong Kong would be my first two choices, Singapore, a close third. Maybe that is what's really happening, but it's hush-hush. The media only report what's in its face.
