Jerry Miller wants you to know he is still alive. The Palm Bay, Florida, resident and Army veteran says he has been declared dead four times by the U.S. Veterans Affairs Department since July 2010. Each time, the agency cuts off his benefits, and each time Miller calls them and convinces them he's alive.

For those without a scorecard, the VA is the model that the Left gives us for perfect national healthcare.

For those without a scorecard, "access denied" is the model that the Right gives us for perfect national healthcare.

There's no shoe insurance plan. Do people lack access to shoes?

        1. Pip   13 years ago

I once complained about having no shoes until I met a man with a Lamborghini Ferruccio.

Maybe they're laughing because it's some sort of sick joke that leftists would rather lament the greed of wealthy people not wanting to pay for the care of others instead of those same leftists fork over their own money and effort to actually care for the poor?

Figures the VA would use red tape as their death panels.

    1. Auric Demonocles   13 years ago

If they were just a little more committed him being dead, they'd soon be proven right.

Whilst I get calls regarding my "service" all the time. VA mortgage refi offers being the latest, and near nightly, one.

    1. T   13 years ago

I looked into that once. It's an even bigger pain in the ass than a regulr mortgage, for no real added benefit that I could see.

  4. Suki   13 years ago

Under Obama's second term, his dreams for our society will be realized.
