Police Privileges
Former Fort Dodge, Iowa, police officer Galen Hindt has been charged with sexual abuse and extortion. Hindt, who has pleaded not guilty, was at a bar with the alleged victim. She'd made arrangements to have someone else drive her home, but Hindt reportedly threatened to arrest herfor drunk driving if she didn't come with him. Instead of driving her home, he drove to his apartment, allegedly telling her she shouldn't try to go home because he had her license plate. At his apartment, investigators say, he sexually assaulted the woman.
