You know I once thought that Michael Medved was an intellectual, conservative luminary. (contradiction in terms, I know) I have long since been disabused of this impression largely due to his out of hand rejection of third party politics... his counter argument invariably boils down to something along the lines of, "Grow up and go with the winning team!"

  2. Matt Felch   14 years ago

    He also hates fags.

    1. 35N4P2BYY   14 years ago

So does God. At least that's what I'm told.

      1. Sudden   14 years ago

Interestingly enough, he apparently loves IEDs. or is that Allah? I get confused sometimes.

  3. Sudden   14 years ago

Listening right now, and my ears are ready to asplode like a car in a Bayesque film. But Medved is admittedly treating the book seemingly fairly thus far.

  4. Sudden   14 years ago

Kudos to getting the chuckle out of Medved Nick. Pretty good line about bush being the warm up act to Obama.

  5. Ray Pew   14 years ago

Medved is a conservative statist. He has expressed his disdain for libertarianism both on his show and in his writings. His recent articles on Townhall were absurd hit pieces against the libertarian candidates filled with strawmen and logical fallacies.

The idiot believes that the homeless should be incarcerated, recognition of gay marriage will cause the downfall of society and that the Federal Reserve is necessary for a free market.

    1. Sudden   14 years ago

I remember his scathing film review of V for Vendetta, saying that it was pro-terrorist propoganda and tantamount to treason. Dude is statist through and through. But in listening right now, he is being reasonable and evenhanded with Gillespie and even saying that he agrees in large part with the central thesis of Nick's book.... which makes me suspicious of Nick's book (its ok Nick, we all know Welch was the one responsible for the objectionable stuff.)

      1. Mr. FIFY   14 years ago

Just wait... soon as Nick leaves the studio, Medved will revert back to his Team Red Only "losertarians steal votes" bullshit.

Oh, and his review of V For Vendetta was double-throwdown bullshit.

      2. Ray Pew   14 years ago

He tends to be civil with his guests, but his true beliefs are expressed in his monologues and his debates with callers.

        1. Mr. FIFY   14 years ago

Fuck Medved. He won't even support the Constitution Party, and he AGREES with them!

  6. Paul   14 years ago

    Medved's still on the air?
