Is Bok trying to tell us that he's finally following our advice to get out of cartooning and into real estate?

    1. Suki   14 years ago

      Good morning heller. +1
      Good morning reason!

Y'all are missing the racist royal wedding!

      1. Jerry   14 years ago

It looks more like an episode of Little Britain.

      2. Bingo   14 years ago

Just reminding everyone that Suki is an online personality that some neckbeard made up. Probably masturbates to the idea of it too.

        1. ?   14 years ago

          And Bingo was his name-o.

        2. rayter   14 years ago

          who cares?

          1. Bingo   14 years ago

Is it too much to ask for a faux-female troll with a BMI under 30?

            1. rather   14 years ago

I'm tempted to put back my pics on the site but then with your autism-spectrum disorder, it would never end

              1. M.C. Hammer   14 years ago

                "rather got put back!"

        3. Mr Whipple???   14 years ago

          Are you sure about that?

      3. rayter   14 years ago

        we need a thread 😉

      4. Fatty Bolger   14 years ago

If you missed it, here it is on youtube:

        Royal Wedding

        1. rather   14 years ago

          I'm still watching

        2. Tim   14 years ago

I could watch it in a NASCAR like state of mind, you know on the possibility that the royal coach will blow a tire, spin out of control and burst into flames.

  2. Fist of Etiquette   14 years ago

While I agree I don't think the Founders had in mind these kinds of questions from census takers, and certainly not in the destructive aftermath of a tornado, I consider this cartoon's social commentary a case of both TOO LATE and TOO SOON.

  3. Mister DNA   14 years ago

LOL! It's funny because it's true!

  4. a penny a day keeps Obama away   14 years ago

    Barely funny but appropriate.

  5. sage   14 years ago

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

    1. Almanian   14 years ago

Thank you, sage, for saying what we're all thinking.

Also - THIS CARTOON CONTINUES THE RIGHT'S VIOLENT, ELIMINASHUNISSSZT RHETORIC!! DROPPING HOUSES ON UNSUSPECTING PEOPLE!! WHAT NEXT? SHOOTING PUPPIES??!!

      1. Zenmaster   14 years ago

        Radley already covered that.

  6. Les Clew   14 years ago

Why did the stick figures paint HOME PRICES on the roof of their fancy tool shed? And why is there lightening coming out of it?

  7. Fatty Bolger   14 years ago

    Where's Dorothy?

    1. rather   14 years ago

The Wicked Witch of the East had a husband?

  8. dbcooper   14 years ago

On the same day The Atlantic Monthly posts "Why The Atlantic's 1860 Review Was a Key Victory for Darwin" they also have "The Royal Wedding As It Happens." FFS

  9. Todd McKinney   14 years ago

Maybe it is just me, but this seems to be a bit in bad taste given the tornados and the loss of life and human suffering that is going on.

Sure, it makes a point. But if it was your son or daughter that was just killed by a natural disaster, how would you feel about this "lighthearted fun"?

I'm pretty disappointed. You can do better.

    1. dbcooper   14 years ago

I'm pretty disappointed. You can do better.

You are familiar with the Friday Funnies aren't you?

Also, you should have said that you were concerned ...

    2. rather   14 years ago

if it was your son or daughter that was just killed by a natural disaster

If so, I doubt you would come to H&R for compassion

      1. Mister DNA   14 years ago

If the cops shot my dog, H&R is the first place I'd go to for compassion (& firearms advice).

        1. rather   14 years ago

True, if the cops shot your dog, I'd be sad for you too but I am certain one of these assholes would say somthing about the carcass of your dead dog

          1. rather retarded   14 years ago

            I'd fuck it.

          2. Bucky   14 years ago

            carcass?
if you really cared you would have used body...

            1. rather   14 years ago

It was a reference to what Sugarfree said about my dog but it involved so much more. Do you have anything to say now?

              1. No better time than now.....   14 years ago

...to suspend all attempts at humor.

                1. Bucky   14 years ago

you kept your dog's body after its untimely demise?

                  1. rather   14 years ago

My city bans burying animals but I did it anyway.

                2. you are   14 years ago

                  cruel

    3. Hister   14 years ago

Be thankful it wasn't a monkey under that house.

      1. Attila the Huh   14 years ago

        Huh?

        1. Hister   14 years ago

Cartoon Monkey = Obama. Where have you been?

    4. Nipplemancer   14 years ago

It's bad taste but for different reasons that have nothing to do with your sandy vagina.

    5. WTF!   14 years ago

If your son or daughter was just killed in a natural disaster and you're at Reason (drink?) looking at the friday funnies then you're probably a fucking moron.

Oh, oh, I totally get it now.

Home prices are FALLING! Falling, get it? Maybe falling ON people!

And get this, the poll taker is so heartless that rather than making some attempt to help these poor fellows trapped underneath a house he goes on and heatlessly asks his question!

And the question is, ironically, about economic confidence which is impacted by home prices!

I totally get it, holy crap that is well crafted!

  12. P Brooks   14 years ago

    Needs more labels.

    1. Mister DNA   14 years ago

As always, a statue of liberty shedding a tear would be nice, too.

      1. Almanian   14 years ago

...AND a tearful Gabby Giffords being carried by a tearful Superman OVER the tearful Statue of Liberty toward a tearful sun setting behind a tearful Japan (setting, not rising = ironic), with a tearful 911 Fireman and tearful 911 Policeman kneeling at the foot of a tearful Lincoln Memorial while holding a dead dog shot by the DC SWATzis.

Also, the dog was crying before it was shot.

  13. db   14 years ago

Wait, so home prices really have hit bottom?

  14. Rich   14 years ago

I like how the questioner's jacket coat illustrates he's a poll taker.

  15. J[o]h[nn]y L[o][n]gt[o]rs[o]   14 years ago

Is this Bok's way of dropping hints he has several dead bodies buried in the crawlspace under his house?

Bok is a serial killer, and the Friday Funnies are his hints to the cops. It's much more interesting (and funnier) if you think about it that way.

    1. Dept O   14 years ago

      It'll play.

  16. Mo   14 years ago

Isn't the result of the most recent consumer confidence poll higher than it was before?

    1. Fatty Bolger   14 years ago

      No.

      Rasmussen Consumer Index

The Rasmussen Investor Index dipped three points today to 83.3. Investor confidence is down a point from last week, down 10 points from a month ago and down 11 points from three months ago.

Only 23% of Adult Consumers say the U.S. economy is getting better these days, while 57% say it's getting worse. Among investors, 27% feel economic conditions in the country are improving but a majority (54%) disagree.

      1. Fatty Bolger   14 years ago

        Sorry, missed this part:

The Rasmussen Consumer Index, which measures the economic confidence of consumers on a daily basis, held steady on Friday at 75.6. Consumer confidence is down less than a point from a week ago, down one point from a month ago and is down seven points from three months ago.

        1. Barack Obama   14 years ago

Let me be clear. George Bush drove the car into the ditch.

          1. Art Of The Deal-less   14 years ago

"Oh, yeah? Where's your driver's license?"

      2. Mo   14 years ago

The gains came as the mood among U.S. consumers turned slightly sunnier in April, as more expect their incomes to rise in the near future, according to the Conference Board. The private research group said its index of consumer confidence increased to 65.4 in April, up from a revised 63.8 in March. Weighing on the downside, the Richmond Fed reported sharply weaker manufacturing activity.

The street cares about the Conference Board's consumer confidence numbers.

We'll understand if you kill yourself now.

      1. sloopyinca   14 years ago

Who is rather and why haven't you heard of incif?

  18. sloopyinca   14 years ago

It's springtime, Bok. The tree the house fell on should have some leaves by now.

    1. Pip   14 years ago

Not if it happened in Minneapolis.

      1. sloopyinca   14 years ago

        True, I suppose.

Based on the length of the peoples' legs, they would be nearly as tall as the second story windows. Now, I'm no architect, but who would want to live in a house that far out of proportion with their body? It's like a house full of midgets appointing their house with furniture designed by Karl Farbman.

        1. Bucky   14 years ago

speaking of stuff falling on people...
is it racist to call it "blacklisting"

As quickly when you start preparing or even the large day, deciding on your wedding party attire gets an urgent require for most brides. Nobody would like to wait. even though dealing with wedding party strain and preparations, be positive to enable your self a lot of time to attempt on completely different designs and discover the a single who says "you".

The theme of your wedding party would be an significant place when choosing that unique dress. have you been obtaining married for the beach? If so, you may pick a gentle airy style. Have you made the decision on the formal affair? Then by all means, go all out and put on a light attire covered in silk and lace. what ever kind of celebration your wedding party will be, your attire will perform among the most significant roles in it!With the cost of weddings, some couples attempt and minimize back again by creating their personal flowers, or purchase some wedding dress in a specialized dress shop at a high price, but why don't you try to buy a cheap wedding dresse online directly.
