Zombie Golden Girls
Not very good zombies.
They're turning the living dead into homosexuals!
Now we don't suck just brains, Honey!
That's a definite slap in the face to cap l.
No, losing to the Lightning last night, and Philthy on Tuesday was a slap in the face.
Fucking goals, how do they work?
Who cares? Crosby was back on the ice! CROSBY!! Wooo!!!
Philadouchea lost, too, so the points are the same.
And Crysby won't be back playing until the playoffs, earliest. And then only if they get everyone to agree not to make physical contact with him during play.
A+
-1 for going with just "Crysby" instead of the full "Cyndi Crysby"
I always liked "Rosby," as in he doesn't deserve the C.
Hah! After my name change, I don't have to grudgingly support the Pens! Go Habs! Let's see some cars tipping on le Boulevard Saint-Laurent!
You guys do realize the Red Wings have just been fucking with everyone the last month to sweeten the Vegas odds, right?
Saint-Laurent may be the funnest street I've ever been on.
No big about Philly. Mason is a straight-up backup goalie. When he's put in after not playing for a month or two, he's stellar for a short stretch. I had plenty of time to watch (and suffer through) him in Nashville.
Poor torso, can't find his own links...
Torso, your death throes; they are amusing to me.
cap l, the so-called post you supposedly linked to is clearly as fake as a Suki post. You aren't fooling anyone.
cap l lied, the morning links died
Don't struggle man, just walk into the light.
Fuck that!

Didn't you read the article? She's raising those crops for a profit!! PROFIT!! Her motives must be questioned!!!
Some of the hardcore Objectivists make me want to dismiss them, but shit like this proves Rand was closer to the mark than we'd like to believe...
Carpenter "is raising these things for a profit," said Chris Candell, a planner in the city's building department. "If you're doing this for your own home consumption, this would not be applied."
This sounds like a random excerpt from an Ayn Rand novel.
She looks like the offspring of Mr Herbert from Family Guy and Granny from
This is how government gives us civilization. If she doesn't pay for the right to sell a few leaves of swiss chard, then SOMALIA!!!!
Also, EXTERNALITIES!
Also, fuck this lady. She obviously doesn't respect property rights, and only after it became her property did the permitting become an issue. Everyone involved in this story is a fucking loser, whether it's the squatter or the bureaucrat.
Carpenter said it has all been a learning experience. After starting out as a "squat farmer," she bought the plot for $30,000 in December. The previous owner sold it to her as a favor.
The previous owner of the property abandoned it, didn't show up to inspect it at regular intervals, didn't bother enforcing their property rights at first, but when they did decide to enforce them, the two parties wound up reaching a mutually satisfactory deal.
The lady didn't seem to be harming the property, and arguably was improving it for the owner. I'm not seeing the lady as being quite as villaineous as you make her out to be. Yeah, she should have gone and asked for permission before farming.

Gary Johnson to Announce Intent to Run for President in Late April
[Johnson] does not see his stand on issues like marijuana legalization as detriments to a potential GOP nominee. "It's just one in a series of cost-benefits."
Good luck making that simple case, Gary.
What's a cost-benefit? Alls I know is drugs are bad, mkay.
I didn't see anything about police unions in the first article. My understanding is that they (and the other third rail, firefighters) are exempt from the restrictions on collective bargaining.
Police: Woman chokes Wal-Mart greeter over receipt
she's accused of saying ... that the [male] greeter would be dead when her boyfriend learned of the incident.
Huh?
e.g., her boyfriend would come back and kill the guy.
It seems rather redundant after saying you'll blow up the store, but hey, what do I know - I haven't threatened anyone in years...
Should be interesting to see how that turns out.

AnonBot, you're even worse than P Brooks. At least he quotes what he's replying to while refusing to use threaded comments.
the boys of summer are back in town & the phillies have perhaps the greatest pitching staff ever.
You may be right but the proof will be in the pudding as they say. Same goes for my Red Sox. Expectations are awefully high and anything less than a WS berth will be a disappointment and greeted with howls of derision.
Should be a fun season, though, and personally I just want to beat up on the Skankees.
Poster Restoras, you have been fined three credits for violations of the Troll Nourishment statue.
He doesn't know how to use the seashells.
[A]nything not good for you is bad, hence, illegal. Alcohol, caffeine, contact sports, meat, baseball, talking about baseball, Libertarians . . .
If the trolls didn't want their statue violated, then they shouldn't have put those holes in it.
I don't think their pitching was really a problem, last year. The problem was they couldn't hit the ball worth a fuck in the playoffs. Can you say CHOKE?
w this staff, i cant imagine more than 3 runs would be needed
Wow, sounds exciting. Dumbass.
duams? no he's not on the phillies staff
Seriously? They're talented, but the 90s Braves had 3 certain future Hall of Famers through most of the decade.
If they win the World Series, they'll be able to lay claim to one of the greatest seasons ever, but they'll never come close to the Glavine/Smoltz/Maddux hydra that dominated the Clinton era.
if the phillies win the series they're the greatest staff ever. if...
No, they'd have to win the pennant for a decade or they wouldn't be as good as the 90s Braves. That was the point you missed.
http://bleacherreport.com/arti.....aves-staff
Also, different era, obviously, but four pitchers on the 1971 Orioles staff won 20 games, and the Palmer-McNally-Cuellar troika was dominant for about 4-5 years.
I don't believe the Phils' starters will even get close to that, although Halladay and Lee will probably hit 18-20 apiece through the first 2-3 years barring injury.
The Phillies didn't lose the NLCS because of their fourth starter. They lost because their line-up can't hit junk pitches. The Phillies improved what was already excellent and ignored what was broken. It's like putting terrific breast implants on a girl with snaggleteeth.
What the hell does Jewel have to do with baseball?
Didn't she get those fixed?
I'm a Mets fan, so after our first game today, I'm fairly certain that we'll be statistically eliminated from the playoffs.
On the bright side, we may finally be rid of the Wilpons, and that may just be worth the last 24 years.
Fed officials say all the discount window loans made during the worst financial crisis since the 1930s have been repaid with interest.
What say you?
It's possible. After all, there is such a thing as *negative* interest.
Of course they have, with all of the money they made in emerging markets. Shit, if I could borrow at ZIRP, and invest it, I'd make money too. Even if I was restricted to buying long term Treasuries at 3-4%. Then, I could sell them to the FRB, for a fee, of course, yadda yadda yadda.
Why do I suspect that the loans made in 2008 were repaid with loans made in 2009 and 2010?
Isn't this enough to get yearly audits of the Fed?

Must be a Yale man-poor devil.
says Zeavin, who is distressed by the continued presence on campus of those who have been accused of sexual assault.
If this ever so delicate damsel is ever successful in cajoling Yale to rid the campus of those people, she obviously should immediately be accused of sexual assault.
The fact that he doesn't see it tells me not that it isn't happening, but that this troglodyte has been sleeping through psychology class and possibly needs a mandated course in Remedial Empathy.
Glad to hear this poster took useful classes during her time in college.
This reminds me of the takers v makers thing but I can't quite figure out why.
Seriously, if I had a Gawker account, I would totally start going all South Park on the comments section, pointing out how trying to control people's behavior like that is fascist.
I would also get banned in like, 5 minutes, but it might be worth it.
Christ, what's up with all the Jezzie links lately? Has Gawker and Deadspin run out of material?
The issue here isn't whether a few fraternity brothers broke a few rules and took liberties with the sacred cows of feminism. They did. But you can't hold a whole fraternity responsible for the behavior of a few, sick twisted individuals. For if you do, then shouldn't we blame the whole fraternity system? And if the whole fraternity system is guilty, then isn't this an indictment of our educational institutions in general? I put it to you, Sugarfree - isn't this an indictment of our entire American society?
"No means yes! Yes means anal!"
Wear that on a t-shirt when voting on a referendum at a polling place.

I saw this latest from Rick "dogs marrying humans" Santorum on the Daily Show re-run last night, did it get covered here? It's hilarious.
the design would work a lot better if we had stable demographic trends. We don't have enough workers to support the retirees ? A third of the young people in America are not in America today because of abortion."
Yes, Ricky... I weep for those who didn't have a chance to be enslaved to the old.
Abortion in Entitlementland is Beloved on a more efficient timescale.
As Stewart pointed out by Santorum's logic the SS problem would never have happened if those Baby Boomer parents had just turned to abortion...It's pretty bad when John Stewart points out your logical error...
While I don't agree with them, I can respect those who oppose all abortion on self-ownership grounds. The Santorumites are just people-ranchers disappointed in the number of this year's foals.
As Stewart pointed out by Santorum's logic the SS problem would never have happened if those Baby Boomer parents had just turned to abortion...It's pretty bad when John Stewart points out your logical error...
The Baby Boomers or the Baby Boomers' parents? Because most of the Boomers were into their adulthood by the time Roe passed.
If it's the latter, Stewart's math is off anyway, since SS requires exponential growth in population as part of the mechanism for it to remain solvent--the trick would have been finding jobs for the increasing numbers of people.
Seems the last thing a progressive would want is people aborting their offspring if they want social security to keep going.
Best case for abortion are those two jabbering mutants that's gone viral on YouTube.
You need to be more specific. That description covers waaaaay more than one YouTube post.
A third of the young people in America are not in America today because of abortion.
The *best* third, too, dammit!
Damn women and their careers. Or is Santorum talking about all those black babies which haven't been born?
The Holocaust was an obscene period in this country's history. . . in this century's history. We all lived in this century. I didn't live in this century.
A third of the young people in America are not in America today because of abortion.
where did he come up with that handy statistic? So roughly 1/2 the number of the people under the age of 18 in the US today were subject to abortion? Does that seem ludricously large number to anyone else.
Also, how many people were not created due to contraception and how many yound people were not born because of laws against rape. Absolute numbers of people are not the answer Rick.
Aren't something like 6 trillion abortions performed in the US every 30 minutes or something?
More.
Its actually a larger industry in terms of GDP contribution than real estate. Killing fetuses is so lucrative that taxing it by just 5% more could pay all Medicare costs for those old bastards trying to stay alive. Its a reverse soylent green in societal benefit.
Medicare coverage...its fetuses!!!
Abortion only makes about 393M per year. 5% is only around 16M. Significantly less after deducted business expenses.
Those are all CDC under Bush II numbers.
Dude...see your previous post...
Dude, never mind. Duh.
2.5 quadrillion would plug the Medicare gap nicely...
I feel like we've crossed sarcasm streams here. The results aren't looking too pretty.
It's hard to tell with touchy subjects. I've heard people make crazier claims than the joke one you made.
We need to end sarcastic remarks with a symbol or something.
I nominate ?
Too much work.
And this one from Gingrich was even more howl-inducing:
"I have two grandchildren -- Maggie is 11, Robert is 9. I am convinced that if we do not decisively win the struggle over the nature of America, by the time they're my age they will be in a secular atheist country, potentially one dominated by radical Islamists and with no understanding of what it once meant to be an American."
I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness ...
C'mon Newcular, the atheist Islamofascist is to be pitied, not feared.
Well, there are secular Jews, why not secular Islamists?
And don't forget the "Cafeteria Catholics".
doesnt fit the hate meme
You need to quit using the word "meme" so damn often.
Cut him some slack, Lucifer. Staying in character for each of his personalities on these threads is HARD.
"...will be in a secular atheist country, potentially one dominated by radical Islamists..."
At which point a hand should have appeared and slapped him for being so fucking stupid.
Give the poor guy a break - he obviously confused America with Europe and, he was only off by a few generations after all.
He just confused America with our arch enemy France.
To make a comment like that he is either a lot stupider than I thought, or a craven manipulator who pushes all the hot buttons (children, God, secular, atheist, Ismlamic, radical) and thinks his audience is too stupid to see the contradiction. I'm going with the latter.
Considering this oldie-but-goodie: http://barista.media2.org/wp-c.....ncedes.jpg

Highway deaths reach their lowest point since 1949.
If we just drop the speed limit down a little bit more, just a little, we can get that number deaths even lower. If we lower the legal blood alcohol limit just a smidge, we can get the number of deaths down. If we force manufacture of smaller and more fuel efficient cars, we can- oops, number just went back up.
Obviously, this means that smoking bans are working, you racist Neanderthal. Is Big Tobacco paying you to say such racist things?
These days Big Tobacco can only afford to hire Australopithecuses. No, Neanderthals and Homo Habilises get hired to subversively wax racist for Halliburton.
It's spelled Neandertal you insensitive racist Homo sap.
It's actually Homo neanderthalensis.
STEVE SMITH NOT GAY! STEVE SMITH LOVE EVERYONE WITH PENIS!
It's actually Homo sapiens neanderthalensis. Your prejudice against the Neanderthal people has been noted.
Oh so you're one of those?
Homo sapiens sapiens and Homo sapiens neanderthalensis? I suppose you don't believe Homo heidelbergensis deserves its own classification, either!?
Don't fuck with the Neanderthal.

In other words, if regressives like Paul can't get their way in Congress ? and he seldom does ? just ignore parts of constitution and returns to the days of the Old South when Alabama and other states thought slavery and repression was still legal in this nation.
This is typical for Paul, who has never strayed far philosophies of the past. And the comments of his son suggest Rand learned well from his dad's out-of-sync philosophies.
"If you have ever been robbed by a black teen-aged male, you know how unbelievably fleet-footed they can be," said a column which appeared under Paul's name in 1992.
On the other hand, we now know that Edward/Lefiti/Morris/Max's real name is Doug Thompson.
Read the comments for real fun.

Good point griff. Debate gets lost when it turns into a mob scene. I ran a spam filter check on the comments this morning and found that many came from the same IP address and contained phony email addresses. Those comments (both pro and con) were deleted.
If we could all learn to agree to disagree we might actually get something accomplished in this country. It may be too late for that and, if so, that's the greatest tragedy of all.
Why can't we all just be civil, you racist Confederate assholes?
Makes you wonder how magnanimous Doug Thompson was regarding the death threats against the Wisconsin congressmen.
If we could all learn to agree to disagree we might actually get something accomplished in this country.

Congratulations. You've just given a blogwhore more hits, thus validating his post. If you're going to read some stream of text-based diarrhea, at least support Reason's own native blogwhores before looking for external "talent."
Your blogwhore protectionism sickens me.

How funny. I was just singing that song in my head. Unions propaganda is indeed far reaching.
As is Colon Blowin' You-oo-oo,

Wow, this guy is a real piece of work, and so are his defenders.
I do not agree with every position that both Dr. Pauls take. I do not think a lot of issues should be "left up to the states" such as drugs, prostitution, alcohol, abortion, gay marriage, etc. I do not think the states should decide individual liberty. But it is a step in the right direction, giving people the opportunity to move to another state if they don't like the rules.
I don't think it's so much that the states should decide individual liberty, it's that the federal government shouldn't.
I think the Paul's are perfectly content with nobody infringing on anyone's personal freedoms... but unfortunately the government does that constantly. So they say that if the decisions are going to be made, they should be made by the state governments as mandated by the Constitution, and not the broad sweep of the U.S. Congress (or Obama's executive decisions of late).
This is Tom Wood's take on Mr. Thompson's rant:

It could work!

Brooks,
I have been saying for years that if we would just ban crime, everything would work a lot better.
I've been taken out of context. But much worse, YOU'RE MAKING A MOCKERY OF THREADED COMMENTING.

Why is anyone surprised that a bunch of trust fund man children treat women like pieces of meat? I thought that was pretty much par for the course among the elite.
1/3 Of Young Women Experience Post-Sex Sadness, especially when they sleep with douchebag hipsters as pictured.
These Jezebel girls get sexier all the time: Overweight, hairy, depressed, most sexless and crying if they do. Awesome.
Dude, that dude's perfectly disheveled hair helmet doesn't scream rugged manliness to you? I bet he could pleasure his woman, change her oil, and deliver a litter of kittens at the same time.
The girl is damn cute.
Gonna ride you like a bicycle, bitch!
So he's going to fuck her with his right pant leg rolled up?
After he pops off his Lego hair and snaps on a helmet?
he is a mason.
If I ever snap and decide to destroy the planet, I'm going to make sure I single out the staff of that site for a special death.
The level and concentration of stupidity, inanity, and lunancy vomited forth from that wretched hole (see what I did there?) is unbelievable.
Thanks SF, you always bring me back to my senses with posts like this.

In a related story, 1/3 of young women are feminists who just feel like the guy that gave them pleasure also experienced pleasure and thus they were raped. Or something.
As they say at Yale: If you aren't drunk enough to forget it, you damn sure will regret it.
So she slept with Alex Ovechkin and she's sad? Eight more times baby and you'll have an Ovechtrick!
Also, can I say I love how all the Jezzies just assume that women are always good in bed, and that all dissatisfaction is the guy's fault?
Weird, because I know some of them are lesbians, and anyone who's ever had sex with a woman knows that not all of them are, to quote John Mayer, sexual napalm.
Dude. Quoting doucherock is douchie.
Post coital blues.
That may be the most awesome phrase ever.
Is that the same 1/3 who suddenly realize the guy they slept with sees them as nothing more than a walking cum rag?
""""NATO made it clear Thursday that rebel forces in Libya are not impervious to bombardment if they attack civilians"""
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/201....._diplomacy
Wow, we could be up to 4 wars soon, one in Afghanistan, one in Iraq and two in Libya, (one against the Government and one against the Rebels).
Think of all the jobs that will be created or saved by our defense industry! And dead US troops don't figure into unemployment statistics. We should really get involved in as many wars as possible, that is sure to bring the economy around!
Re: DJF,
So nobody says NATO does not follow an Equal Opportunity Killing policy!
Wait, NATO is going to establish an anarchy in the former state of Libya by bombing the fuck out of anyone who turns weapons on civilians? Interesting. I'm not sure anyone has ever investigated anarchy maintained by 3rd party force against violent coerction attempts.
I'm not sure anyone has ever investigated anarchy maintained by 3rd party force against violent coerction attempts.
Isn't that just a prison?
Is NATO embargoing anything besides weapons and ammo? But you do have a valid point. Does freedom of movement and a relatively free economy matter that much to an ordered society?
I have to admit fighting against both sides of a mideastern civil war appeals to my "kill them all let God sort them out" instincts.
Nuke'em from orbit just to be sure?
With such a name, it deserved to be captured.
:clapping: Well said.
Which rebels? I'm getting confused.
In this case, the "rebels" are loyal to the guy who almost surely won the election (and is recognized as the winner by almost all foreign countries), whereas the non-rebels are loyal to the incumbent who refused to step down.
But enough about me.
Oh I long for that alternate-reality headline.
Gaddafi's glamorous daughter Aisha joins the fight against Libyan rebels
No, really! The woman is a knockout. The rebels stand no chance!

I wonder if Santorum thinks the highway deaths have fallen in part because all those people aborted are not on the roads...
Re: MNG,
How would somebody manage to know which baby would become a bad driver so as to abort it? If any human had such gift, he or she should be on the racetrack, not aborting babies.
Simple: abort the female or Chinese ones*

Why would someone able to know which baby would become a bad driver do well at the race track?

WTF is wrong with you?
Ah, the Steve Levitt/Freakonomics argument for legalizing abortion, so that the Wrong Sort of People don't get born so much.
I pretty much wrote off Levitt because of that argument. It is not so much that he made it. The data is what it is and shouldn't be ignored. It is that the moral venality of it never even crossed his mind.
Only Pauly Krugnuts is capable of combining economics and morality. The whole rest of economists are too heartless; which explains why they don't have Nobel Prizes.

Morning H&R. As it turns out, purchasing a firearm in Pennsylvania isn't difficult at all. I stopped the arms dealer during my lunch and held just about anything that caught my eye. Did a little research, came back after work and was out the door in 15 minutes.
Got myself a Ruger mkIII. It seems to be just about the perfect 22 for me. I see it as a plinker that I can learn to be super accurate and competent with. Rugged and cheap ammo makes it a good squirrel hunter for any upcoming apocalpyse scenarios. All in all a good experience.
Thanks for the advice yesterday; I'll get to the range post-haste to fire my first rounds. Very exciting.
Sweet, my dad had that gun. Make sure to keep up on the maintenance otherwise she can be a finicky bitch. If it isn't oiled and cleaned the pull back mechanism would stick, or maybe that was just an idiosyncrasy of the one he owned, it was pretty old(actually a markII, similar though).
I used to shoot cans and bottles with that gun, good fun.
Depending on how much you are planning on shooting, an autoloader could become your best friend. The only thing about the cheap ammo is that it's cheap ammo. There will be some messed up rounds occasionally that will cause the chamber to jam. But overall good and effective to shoot.
Now I am definitely buying something at the gunshow this weekend. Yay, guns!
Speaking of guns and gun shows, are any other Hit and Runners planning on going to the Knob Creek show and shoot next week?
May I suggest the Rocky Mountain Machine Gun Shoot -- more (and better) airborne ordnance than Libya.
http://www.rmmgs.com/
Looks like fun. I'd like to make it out there sometime. Pittsburgh-Louisville is a lot easier drive than Pittsburgh-Colorado, especially with a truckload of ammo and machineguns. KCR is a little more practical for me.
Great gun, and the best .22 pistol for the money. Had a MkII years ago. The only problem was that while it was easy to disassemble, it was an absolute bitch to put back together. Anyone who owns one knows what I mean.
^^^^This. I finally got rid of mine because of that very idiosyncrasy. The process of cleaning a gun should be a zen-like pleasure, not an exercise in frustration.
Excellent choice for a first gun. The biggest problem by far that shooters have is flinch - once you get one, its very hard to get rid of. A .22 will let you get the muscle memory for good shooting without getting a flinch into the bargain.
My dad also has a Ruger .22 revolver (can't recall the model, but its got to be 50 years old if its a day).
Are you going to the range with an experienced shooter? I highly recommend it, not just for someone who can keep an eye on your safety practices, but also to help you with your form.
Yes, the range I want to join operates as a private club and requires orientation to be allowed on the range alone. I'm not completely unfamiliar with using a range (for sighting in my hunting rifle) but this is my first handgun experience.
Everyone at the shop was completely friendly and helpful. Such a good experience that I can't help but wonder if fixing the hyperbolic gun control debate is a simple as getting more folks to train with a 22.
because I grew up around guns. But after nearly 5 years of not touching one, shit, they are scary. That kind of irrational fear is pretty real and can only be bested by experiences.
You'll shoot your eye out kid.
uh-huh
You said you got the idea when you went shooting with some friends, right? Go with them the first time so they can show you around the gun, how to clear a jam, etc (though sometimes the range will require that you let them clear it for you).
Two Katrina killer cops are sentenced to prison.
April Fool?
No, its the one exception so that cop defenders can say "see, they get convicted when really guilty". We will hear this counter-example EVERY single time.
Got myself a Ruger mkIII.
Excellent choice.
My favorite comment from the Killer Katrina Kops story:
Iceman4886 this is crazy, it was chaos down there, you cant blame the officers for shooting someone they thought was a threat and those bystanders had no right to move the body.
Rebels capture the capital of C?te d'Ivoire.
Ewww French. The country remains Ivory Coast to me (also Mumbai is still Bombay and Beijing still Peking!)
I Myanmar still Burma in your book, as well?
Its all French Indochina to me.
Oh, it takes care of itself. . . .
Yep. Why should I respect a new name hung on a country by blood-soaked sociopaths?
You may know it as Myanmar, but it'll always be Burma to me.
And your take on Constantinople?
You mean Byzantium?
Fucking Romans, coming in like they owned the place.
You mean Byzantion (damned spam filter blocked me posting this in Greek)? I can't abide newbies.
I hear it endures.
Well, Istanbul was Constantinople. Now it's Istanbul, not Constantinople. Been a long time gone, Constantinople.
Why doesn't the song mention Byzantium? Song sort of anti-Greek bias?
TMBG are known to come down on the Roman Catholic side of the idolatry conflict.
Since "that's nobody's business but the Turks," then probably, ProL.
Latecomers with a dubious claim to Asia Minor.
Hey, it looked 18 to me.
Such a good experience that I can't help but wonder if fixing the hyperbolic gun control debate is a simple as getting more folks to train with a 22.
*faints*
C?te d'Ivoire
That's french for Ivory Coast. Which is what the country is called in English. Which is supposably the language I'm writing in now.
That's right. I always call France Land O' Franks.
Gaul, baby.
You mean Gallia?
Well, England (angle land) is only called such since the damn Germans were invited to help kick out the Romans and decided to stay then kicked out the Brits who became french after moving the Gauls south. Then the Britons went Back to Angle Land and whopped some German ass but ended up changing the language to half french half english...ahh fuck it.
It's very confusing. I have a lot of Scottish and German blood, but my Scottish ancestry stems from an area dominated for a while by the Danes. So Scottish or Danish? And if Danish, is Danish-German a dangerous combination?
Most Germans were Danish before the ancestors of the current Danes played Conan with them.
So I'm German-German? No wonder I want to reunify with Poland and France!
The Wlesh, everybody's bitch.
Supposably?
what am I supposed to be, some kind of entemoligist?
I thought Entenmologists studied breakfast pastries?
anti-Greek bias
Uh oh- are we back to talking about Yale?
Apropos of nothing, I just got back from a trip to Frankfort, Ky.
Got to sample Pappy VanWinkle 20 and Woodford Reserve Sweet Mash bourbons and Sazerac 18 yr. rye.
First time I've ever paid $20 for a shot of bourbon (I've lead a very sheltered life). The Sazerac rye, especially, was astounding.
Try Rittenhouse Rye if you can find it. Best $20 bottle of rye I've ever encountered.
$20 per bottle is definitely better than $20 per drink.
Stranahans or singla malt scotch...that is what is good in life...plus hearing the lamentation of the women.
Had some Stranahans recently. Really good stuff.
Sazerac is excellent rye. Seek out Thomas Handy, which is delicious, cask-proof fire.
Pappy 20 is good, too. I'm not a fan of the 10.
