Re: Airline pilot shows TSA emperor has no clothes
TSA response? Bullshit. That is all.
Re: Airline pilot shows TSA emperor has no clothes
Nah, the emperor just went thru the porn scanner
A Michigan man faces five years in prison for reading his spouse's email.
Tough call. On the one hand, this is the United States of America. On the other, the brother did find out about the bitch's cheating.
This one's easy; the bitch gave him the password, why would she have any expectation of privacy?
And yet the prosecutor is quoted as saying the guy is a "hacker" with "serious training and skills"... I know, I know. Lawyer, lips moving.
and yet in Michigan, adultery is actually a crime, and specifically cohabitating with someone you divorced is. But the prosecutor is a member of the good ol' bitches club.
What's wrong with the good ol' bitches club?
If you're a misandry fan, nothing.
Leon Walker was Clara Walker's third husband.
This warning sign should have been so bright that it seared his retinas.
The legal genius who filed these "charges":
Jessica Cooper
Fuck him-why bitch about the prosecutor.
This isn't her first performance at the Idiot Rodeo.
A few months back, she filed murder charges on a woman for killing her husband before the ME even came up with a cause of death (he had died from an old injury, BTW).
"Some people claim that marriage interferes with romance. There's no doubt about it. Anytime you have a romance, your spouse is bound to interfere." (Adapted from Groucho Marx.)
{McMillan's] tag line: "Tell Obama I'm coming after his black ass."
Jimmy, Jimmy. Racist *and* threatening tag lines will not help your chances.
It will hurt his chance of getting elected, but it's a pretty decent strategy to get what he really wants--more publicity.
Speaking of karate: A no-hit knockout master accepts a challenge.
History channel did a debunking of no-hit knockouts a while back.
Seems that it only works on guys in white robes with black belts on that go to the martial arts school the "master" teaches at.
It's the same auto-suggestion that fake healers/televangelists use.
Usually I wouldn't like to watch an old man get his head punched in. Usually.
That just made my day.
A pilot is punished for documenting the absurdities of security theater.
The chain is only as strong as the guy who points out its weakest link.

A Michigan man faces five years in prison for reading his spouse's email.
Married couples should only have one back account, one email account and one sex life. In that order.
_
Armenia cracks down on emo.
Gives them one more thing to be emo about.
_
Tokyo adopt a vague censorship law covering comics, animation, and games.
No more tentacles?

A sociological study shows American anti-Semitism in a long, deep decline.
I blame the Jews.
Thanks, FoE, now I don't have to be bothered with actually reading any of the articles.
A pilot is punished for documenting the absurdities of security theater.
I was reading up on that yesterday.
I applaud his efforts, but suspect he is more irked that the TSA won't recognize his "But I'm a PILOT!" specialness than concerned that the whole thing is a monstrous waste of time, money and energy.
If anything, it's these over-reactions from TSA that are going to resonate more broadly. Blaming the messenger is hardly a winning strategy.
They could have come out and been praised for instituting yet another layer of security in response to these videos.
The "I am a pilot" argument is not special pleading. It's impossible for the pilot to hijack a plane.
It is a special pleading because a fanatical, evil, enemy-of-all-that-is-good-and-right pilot who none-the-less, somehow does not want to be a martyr could function as mule for confederates who either are willing to die or a planning to plant the tools of remote mischief.
Yes, that's a long shot scenario, but the TSA is in the business of putting us to great inconvenience and indignity to protect against long shot scenarios.
Note that the first thing the TSA goons do is pull the pilot's firearm license and threaten his CCW.
I was wondering if the carry permit was issued when he was deputized by the TSA, and if he couldn't just apply for one on his own.
It seemed to imply that the CCW was state-issued, which the feds should (theoretically) have nothing to do with. Federal carry permits are different, as far as I know.

They pulled his deputy status.

Why the Terrorists Can Never Win
The state of Wisconsin has gone an entire deer hunting season without someone getting killed. That's great. There were over 600,000 hunters.
Allow me to restate that number. Over the last two months, the eighth largest army in the world ? more men under arms than Iran; more than France and Germany combined ? deployed to the woods of a single American state to help keep the deer menace at bay.
But that pales in comparison to the 750,000 who are in the woods of Pennsylvania this week. Michigan's 700,000 hunters have now returned home. Toss in a quarter million hunters in West Virginia, and it is literally the case that the hunters of those four states alone would comprise the largest army in the world....

Luckily the deer have not yet caught on to the Iraq/Afghanistan IED system.
God help us all if they do.

Union Visits Private Home To Intimidate, Local Media Calls It "Caroling"
This is when a long drive way, a paintball gun and two German Shepards comes in handy. I'd go fucking ballistic, especially if I had kids.
Similarly my wife used to work freelance for Anheuser-Busch in house TV productions when she had to carry a union card from the IBEW. The president of the company and his stooge called our house and threatened her to the point of tears because they wanted her to agree to trying to make the production house there union. She made the mistake of telling them yes so they would stop harassing her. AB won't even consider her for anything from this point on.
I've been told the president and his fat little stooge are now scared of me due to my visiting after they threatened my wife. I look forward to catching them alone for some union style justice.
Take note, union cheerleaders. ^^^ this.

Jimmy "The Rent Is Too Damn High" McMillan decides to run for President.
First policy position-crackdown on emos.
Not that there is anything wrong with that
Hey, look!
Veronique de Rugy is on Bloomberg News, talking about corporatism.
The interviewer is confused; all she can do is ask if we need more government restrictions on lobbyists. And, of course, she wants to know if the government should have "done nothing" without recognizing the cumulative effects of previous government "do something" policies.
# A sociological study shows American anti-Semitism in a long, deep decline.
That's racist!!!
I'm not sure that's exactly what the article says though I guesss it is a fair interpertation, it seems to say that Judaism was the most popular (apart from the respondents) religion in America. I think that's partly a function of it being a small (numerically) religion that is not seen as pushing a political agenda at the moment. It helps that is the father of the major religion in the US...
I actually didn't read the article yet. I just felt the SPLC needed to voice it's always rationale and always well vetted position of, "THAT'S RACIST!!!"
It also probably helps that no one wants to actually go on record as disliking Jews.
Have any GOPers called for the TSA whistleblower to be executed or placed on the terrorist list yet?
Not sure about GOP but I know they didn't seem to mind a pilot loosing his deputy status due to wistleblowing.
It seemed to imply that the CCW was state-issued, which the feds should (theoretically) have nothing to do with. Federal carry permits are different, as far as I know.
Based on my interpretation of what I read, the feds came and "confiscated" a pistol which had been issued to him as a cockpit weapon, and told him he was being suspended from the program which allows him to carry it on the plane. Of course, there is no real reason they couldn't have just called him up and asked him to return it.
And, at the same time, a Sheriff apparently confiscated his CCW and formally notified him it was suspended, pending "review".
CCW can be national if you are a deputy or retired deputy.
The Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA)
Welcome to second class citizen status.
My understanding is pilots are deputized to make it legal.
Of course, there is no real reason they couldn't have just called him up and asked him to return it.
Hello? How are they supposed to rack up overtime, huh smart guy?!
Armenia cracks down on emo.
Beware the law of unintended consequences... Ban emo and all the kids will have left is black metal.
I'll give you something to cry about emo kid!
Armenian black metal such as Vishapakahr - Hymn To Aramazd or Melechesh - Deluge of Delusional Dreams?
I think they'd prefer emo if they knew what they were in for...
Now, there is some bozo on Bloomberg saying the Europeans are engaged in "Hoovernomics" and they'll all be eating grass and boiling their shoes to drink the broth, soon.
It couldn't have anything to do with a substantial impending capital loss on his bond portfolio......
Could it?
Bloomberg has some serious winners as of late.
Tokyo banning suggestive kiddie cartoon porn is like America banning beer. Not gonna work out so well.

Tokyo adopt a vague censorship law covering comics, animation, and games.
Ironically:
The bill also empowers the Tokyo government to restrict manga, anime and other media ? excluding live photography, ironically ? that unjustifiably glorify sexual acts.
We must protect the children from lolicon. Double penetration bukkake porn, OTOH, is just fine and dandy for the kiddies.
*facepalm*
I want to know who decides whether the glorification of sexual acts is justifiable or not.
A self-regulatory body. No, seriously.
By Bill 156, if a publisher releases content that the Tokyo government deems to be harmful to minors more than 6 times within a single year, the publisher will be reported to the self-regulatory body responsible for it.
TOP. MEN.
if a publisher releases content that the Tokyo government deems to be harmful to minors more than 6 times within a single year
Because, really, being harmful to minors 6 times a year is pretty normal. Only the real freaks do it 7 times a year.
That's my favorite part.
You should eat lots of fiber to be regular more than six times a year.
Speaking of AB, Augie Bush IV had a dead chick at his home recently.

"Obamacare" - the Republicans' pejorative name for the law
Pejorative? So, it's somehow derisive to attach his name to the single piece of legislation that he spent most of his time in office pushing for? And naturally, only Rethuglicans would DARE call it that, racists that they are....
Between the links I've actually read from major newspapers lately, I'm reminded why I've avoided newspapers like the plague most of my life.
"When Obama's job performance improves, it will be fine to call it Obamacare. Now, it is polarizing."
And when that job performance no longer includes bullshit power grabs like Obamacare....so full of facepalm.
"At one point in history, no one ate tomatoes.
Not because of the name, but because people were stupid and they thought tomatoes were poisonous.
Maybe we should call this plan the 'tomato health care plan' because stupid people think it is 'poisonous.'"
Clearly, that's the problem.. we're just not calling it the right name..

The American people are officially retarded monkeys when they turn to a political comedian for news and guidance.
Personally, I'd rather get my guidance from a comedian than a tool of the state....wait, Jon Stewart? Wow, talk about out of the frying pan and into the fire.
Ten years after claiming that global warming would soon make snow a thing of the past, lying fraudulent British "scientists" shamelessly spin a 180 and now claim that global warming will lead to snowier and harsher winters.
There has always been snow in Eastasia.
Oh, well then.
The funny part is that the climate is sensitive and goofy enough that it is likely that some parts of the world would suffer counter-intuitive effects from an overall increase in the energy in the [atmo|hydro|tropo|bio]sphere (pick which every one is really relevant).
The unfunny part is that this puts them in the position of saying "We've been blathering for ten years, but don't you worry: this time we're all over it." and a lot of people won't worry.
Note that assuming any actual science is going on in the field, sooner-or-later they really will be all over it. Have fun trying to spot when that really is. Tony, of course is already on the record as being wrong: the science was settles before.
Doesn't this just make it worse? I mean, aside from that pretty girl in sixth grade that kissed the lead singer once and then flitted off, this is the artistic impetus for a lot of emo, isn't it?
"They point and laugh at us. Or even worse, they sometimes beat up our boys," Ani said.
