Pounding a Beat
Daytona Beach police officers Justin Christopher Ranum and Donald Aldridge have been charged with vandalizing the mobile home of Sandra Haley. Several officers had come to Haley's home looking for her boyfriend, who they say ran a stop sign. She voluntarily allowed them to search the home, and they didn't find him. Later that night, when Haley wasn't at home, Ranum and Aldridge came back. They knocked on the door, and when no one answered, they pried open a window. Then they pounded on the walls with their fists and a flashlight, leaving 87 dents.
