Lorain, Ohio, police officer John Kovach was suspended for 31 days after an investigation found he sent 104 texts over a seven-day period to a 17-year-old boy. The two met after the boy called police to report that his cousin was afraid to go home because his mother might hit him and Kovach responded to the call. Kovach began texting the boy two days later.
