Recently at Reason.tv: Hollywood Hates Capitalism, Learning From Allen Ginsberg, Learning Even More From Adam Carolla
Why does Hollywood hate the very system that allows directors like Oliver Stone to pal around with the likes of Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez? Reason.tv investigates!
A movie about the legal battles surrounding Allen Ginsberg's poem "Howl" starring James Franco opens this weekend. Reason.tv takes a look at the legendary beat poet and cultural provocateur's enduring anti-authoritarian legacy.
TV, radio, and Internet personality Adam Carolla takes aim at drug prohibition, nanny state pols, and LA traffic in this wide-ranging, hilarious, and foul-mouthed interview with Reason.tv.

OK you got Allen Ginsbeg, but what about Ralph?
Was't Ginsberg an anti-capitalist?
You don't have to understand economics to be a great poet. A great poet he was, not such a great economist.
The best minds of his generation were in the engineering department inventing the fucking internet.
He was not a great poet he was Doom-Sayer who ended up being wrong just like every other doom-sayer has been since the golden age of Athens..
"Oh i hang with junkies and the insane...that makes me deep" Fuck Ginsberg. He is a fucking idiot.
Certainly Ralph wasn't.
Ach! I just Googled and it's Ralph Ginzburg, not Ginsberg.
RE: Ginsberg
Why would I possibly care one way or another about what a poet (or musician or any artist) writes?
Even if you personally do not consume these products they do influence the general culture. The general culture impacts you whether you like it or not.
How people percieve the world impacts how people vote.
This guy has to be joking. He's basically saying "Why should I give a shit about what writers write?".
Unless he is that ignorant.
It's hard to argue against the assertion that the chattering classes are overpopulated. We need more people of action, frankly. For every one of them, it seems there are ten who do nothing else but tell the one what he should be doing.
"We need more people of action, frankly."
You mean like Charlemagne?
You know who gave up being an artist to become a man of action?
Hitler, yeah that's who.
It's hard to argue against the assertion that the chattering classes are overpopulated.
Says some dude commenting on a blog.
O'Donnell: Evolution is a Myth.
Christine O'Donnell, the gift that keeps on giving!

Too bad the guy who answered her also knew jack shit.
Humans didn't evolve from monkeys, they evolved from an ancestor that monkeys also evolved from. God, if you are going to defend evolution at least know what it is.
If they were around now, you'd consider them monkeys.
NO, we would consider them apes, not monkeys.
Yes, I'm sure she was objecting to that distinction only.
O'Donnell is not running for science teacher.
Thank God for that...
I didn't WTFV, but that's a pretty common view among Christians that I've met. Including a young woman who was a classmate in a college geology program! Yes, she was a geology major who believed the Earth is 6,000 years old.

Our economy is slowly dying, your job, lifestyle are dominated by anxiety.
The economy is kept alive artificially.
No one is proposing a solution because no one has the slightest idea of why it is happening and many have vested interest in the present system.
However an objective observation of the phenomenon can help us understand it and provide us with an innovative solution.
Of course we can't solve the problem with the tools that brought us there in the first place and we need a new ideology.

In order to alleviate those economic woes wee need to create, as fast as possible, a new credit free currency that will solve the credit crunch and bring incremental jobs, consumption and investments to the present system.

This is the first, and likely last time, my city will be mentioned on reason. I feel the need to point this out and relish in the notoriety, however brief.
You live in Hollywood?
Ginsburg? Seriously?
The last thing we need are more idiotic anti-capitalist hippies.
Adam Corolla seems wasted.
Why would I possibly care one way or another about what a poet (or musician or any artist) writes?
Hell yes, stay ignorant, uninformed and uninterested. That's GOP charter.
Wall Street wasn't anti-capitalist, it was anti-corporate. Why does the right keep pretending that supporting free-markets requires looking the other way when corporations collude with politicians to manipulate markets in their favor?
