  1. Suki   15 years ago

    Gooooooooooooood morning reason!

    Payne, funny. Good one.

  2. Episiarch   15 years ago

Oh look, an insipid cartoon by Payne and an insipid, immediate comment by JohnSukiBot. How droll.

    1. BeltwayLurker   15 years ago

What depth and insight. Stand by for five more versions under different names in support.

      1. Toolbag   15 years ago

Holy crap where did Suki get all the bad pres from? Seems to be no love for Suki anysmore.

        1. Brandybuck   15 years ago

I still want Suki to have my baby!

  3. TDL   15 years ago

    This is fairly unimaginative.

    Regards,
    TDL

  4. are sea tee el   15 years ago

Praise the load and pass the ammo.

  5. SugarFree   15 years ago

I don't understand the outrage. The overruns on the average highway project cost more than this trip. It was a small price to pay to not have to see her working in her retarded garden for couple of weeks, in my opinon.

    1. Shoeless Chris   15 years ago

      The Obamas are harvesting retards?

      1. Hank   15 years ago

        Organic ratards.

        1. Joe Biden   15 years ago

          Hey!

    2. Astrid   15 years ago

My outrage is that they let her back in the country, not that she left it.

      1. SugarFree   15 years ago

        Now that's a sensible position.

      2. Spokesman for BP   15 years ago

My outrage is that they let her into Europe at a time when there is still oil in the Gulf of Mexico she could be cleaning up

      3. Andr   15 years ago

My feelings exactly; I wish they'd all take more vacations instead of passing enormous and hugely expensive laws.

    3. BeltwayLurker   15 years ago

We get to drive on those roads later. Who gets to drive on Lady Michelle?

      1. Barry Obama   15 years ago

Hey! Now, let's not talk about that.

      2. Barack Obama   15 years ago

As soon as the kids grow up and leave home, a bus

        1. Toolbag   15 years ago

It better be a big one.

    4. In Time Of War   15 years ago

Hey! That's the "R-word" now! And the infantilization of America is complete.

  6. Woodrow   15 years ago

I don't understand why any politician or their family goes on vacation outside the country. It seems analogous to Steve Jobs bragging about buying a Zune. They all make a big deal about buying American made cars and such.

    1. Mike Laursen   15 years ago

It works for liberal politicians. Liberals all have an inferiority complex with regards to Europe.

      1. Jason   15 years ago

Except for the European idea of subsidiarity. Liberals call it a code word segregation.

    2. MrGuy   15 years ago

They'll love it until they find out there's no 7-Eleven, Jiffy-Lube, or 24-Hour Wallmart.

      1. Jason   15 years ago

        There's probably a 24-Hour Carrefour...

        1. EscapedWestOfTheBigMuddy   15 years ago

But does the bar stay open all hours?

/Croque monsieur and an amber ale, see vou play

  7. Fist of Etiquette   15 years ago

They should do the same cartoon, except make it about Michelle Obama. She does practically the same thing as this Antionette lady (whom I've never even heard of).

    1. JohnD   15 years ago

Surely you jest? Or are you really that dense?

      1. Joe M   15 years ago

        -1

      2. Fist of Etiquette   15 years ago

        Why can't it be both?

      3. Fiscal Meth   15 years ago

Surely you jest JonhD. Or are you really that dense?

      4. jb   15 years ago

        Don't call me Shirley

  8. waffles   15 years ago

hahahahahahahahaha, oh wow. I'm glad it's early and few people are here because I'm practically splitting my sides over this! comparing michele to antoinette, what a hoot!

  9. Hank   15 years ago

    Next item:

    - build contorversial Mosque at Ground Zero for husband's worship

*25% of Americans believe Obama is a Moozlim. And that number is up!

Once you get past the ignorance, that is pretty fucking funny. If ever polled, I would have to say Muslim just for the fun of it.

    1. Mr Whipple   15 years ago

I wonder how many of the people polled, think like you.

      1. Hank   15 years ago

I was too. But if more people like me were polled, I would hope there would be an "I don't give rat's fat ass what religion the president practices" option in the polling.

        1. Toolbag   15 years ago

          +Uno

    2. cynical   15 years ago

      No, he's pretty clearly Sith.

  10. kilroy   15 years ago

    This sucks.

  11. Jen   15 years ago

Holy crap, this one's actually funny!

  12. NANCY REAGAN   15 years ago

And they bitched about the pricey gowns that I BORROWED from my friends? These people have no shame.

    1. BeltwayLurker   15 years ago

      Tell 'em Nancy!

      1. Sarah Palin   15 years ago

Or those wardrobes that the RNC made me wear. I wanted to go up there in my Kohl's collection because that is what real Americans, like Joe the plumber's wife wear. You know those people with small business values in small towns, who work hard despite those in congress who want to take away the American dream from these hardworkers, with special needs kids. Well gosh golly John McCain and I have a vision for America and we want to return American to the right track doncha know. You got those Hockey Moms cooking hamburger helper in these hard times because that's what real America does....

        1. Mr. FIFY   15 years ago

I'd give a weeks' pay to see Michelle Obama prepare Hamburger Helper.

No, fuck that... *generic* hamburger helper. From Aldi's. With ground turkey, 'cuz it's what poor people buy when they can't afford hamburger after their president sticks a huge epoxy-and-broken-glass-covered dildo up the ass of the economy.

IOW, make those fuckers in the White House live like the poor people about whom they claim to give a shit.

          1. Jeff   15 years ago

I've always thought politicians should earn the median income of their district.

            1. Dude   15 years ago

That's an amazingly good idea; they get a raise by improving the income of the people they live with. (Will have an interesting interaction with earmarks though...)

          2. tb   15 years ago

Ground turkey is more expensive than ground beef. if you're looking to save money, you jusy buy the ground beef with a higher fat content, as it is much cheaper.

            1. Mr. FIFY   15 years ago

I've seen ground turkey at one dollar a pound. Don't know about where you shop.

  13. sage   15 years ago

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  14. yet another dave   15 years ago

Marie had her head lopped off by the revolting peasants.... What's Payne getting at here? There are nuances to be explored.

    1. John Adams   15 years ago

Nothing a little prison time won't cure.

    2. PEASANTS   15 years ago

      Who you calling revolting?!

      1. Pip   15 years ago

I'd call Joel Pile revolting. I wonder if Joel Pile is a sheep fucker? Anyone have any insight on that?

        1. Sean L.   15 years ago

Whoa, there! You're dangerously close to violating statute 21-4004!

Change "wonder" to "heard" and you, too, can be posting your own $10,000 bond!

  15. P Brooks   15 years ago

Is that Valerie Jarett? Next time, put Michelle in the cartoon.

  16. Pro Libertate   15 years ago

Man, look at those amazing arms! Have you ever seen arms like that?

    1. Media Idiot   15 years ago

Yes, they are quite toned. She's amazingly graceful.

  17. nanda   15 years ago

people who believe in redistribution have no right taking luxurious vacations.

    1. Pip   15 years ago

      ^^THIS^^

    2. Pro Libertate   15 years ago

Silly person, they mean that we should redistribute our wealth so that the political class can use it for whatever the hell they want.

  18. PR   15 years ago

It had potential, but the list items were lame. Shopping for a bat'leth or rescuing Hans Solo's carbonite encrusted body might have worked.

  19. windows 7 key   15 years ago

    windows 7 serial only 9.99$

    windows 7 key

    1. Pip   15 years ago

You need to go fuck yourself, asscunt.

      1. Pro Libertate   15 years ago

        Hey, I like Windows 7.

        1. rustedangel   15 years ago

Me too, and Vista was a good OS too. I had less stability issues with it and better performance than I got with XP.

          1. Pip   15 years ago

            "Hey, I like Windows 7."

Greaqt. But do you also like spam with your threads?

            1. cynical   15 years ago

Better than spam on my plate.

  20. P Brooks   15 years ago

Have you ever seen arms like that?

    Yes. On Gumby.

  21. Marcello   15 years ago

Tacky. I like smacking the President around as much as anyone, but the wife and kids are off limits, k?

    1. creech   15 years ago

Not O.K. Any "First Lady" who inserts herself into governance/preachy type activities is fair game. Not O.K. for kids unless they do same. [We should be ashamed for once mocking Santorum's little daughter. We are, aren't we?
      Bueller? Bueller?]

      1. In Time Of War   15 years ago

Screw that, the Santorum picture was hilarious.
And the public ridicule presented the children with the opportunity to grow and mature by overcoming adversity and strengthening their personal beliefs and convictions.
It was really a win-win for everyone involved.

        1. Mr. FIFY   15 years ago

I'll agree that the kids should remain off-limits until the age of eighteen, at which time let loose and ridicule them all you want.

I feel sorry for the Obamakids. They will never have a normal life.

          1. Pip   15 years ago

As if they would have anyway.

            1. Mr. FIFY   15 years ago

True, but now they'll have to be under some kind of guard for basically their entire lives, because Daddy just *had* to be president.

          2. Cracker's Boy   15 years ago

Fuck the kids. Because of their father, I'll never have a normal life again either.

            CB

        2. DLM   15 years ago

If it doesn't kill them, it will make the stronger?

    2. Torontonian   15 years ago

Their personal lives are off limits assuming they go about their own business like normal citizens.

To the extent they choose to involve themselves in affairs of state, or misuse public resources for their personal benefit, they become fair game.

  22. Mike Laursen   15 years ago

    Kinda funny, but too wordy.

  23. Sean L.   15 years ago

So a rich, black woman named Michelle is AUTOMATICALLY assumed to be the first lady? Racist bastard!

  24. LarryA   15 years ago

She's going to need a lot of cake.

  25. black guy   15 years ago

Not really funny but at least he attempted to be clever this time.

  26. It's always 4:20!   15 years ago

This cartoon shows how difficult it is to capture Michelle's hideous ugliness.

    She looks like Chewbacca shaved.

    1. Toolbag   15 years ago

      Michelle the Wide

  27. Starved for Humor   15 years ago

Oh, HAHAHAAAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAAA ROFL HAHAHAHAHAAAHAAA LOL Giggle, "Michelle Antoinette", HEEHEE HAHA squeak chortle gag.

  28. Almanian   15 years ago

Payne works for the Detroit News and actually has some LULZ cartoons on their site. How come the crappy ones (like this) always end up in Reason?

Y'now, for a post called "Friday Funnies"....

    1. kreminitly   15 years ago

Please see the subsequent article on the home page. Could be a resource limitation. Peak bandwidth, peak humor.....who knows.

  29. bags   15 years ago

Oh look, an insipid cartoon by Payne and an insipid, immediate comment by JohnSukiBot. How droll.

  30. Scarf   15 years ago

You can export whatever you used it in, but you must manufacture it in China.

  31. Michelle Obama   15 years ago

    You people are racist!

  32. Gay Communist Gun Club   15 years ago

Ha ha ho hum. Lame and predictable.
