Second is "Tracy Foster is Free Enterprise," a finalist that Dan Hayes helped with:
You can vote for particular videos once a day every day until June 2.
Congrats again to Meredith and Dan.

Steve better not be selling kangaroo meat without some kind of permit from the government.
Anyone here ever had ostrich or alligator meat? Delicious.
Had Ostrich once. Tasted like beef. Good beef, but not noticeably different.
Ostrich--tastes like bef, delicious, and healthy too
Gator. Love it.
I love alligator. It's like juicier chicken.
On my recent trip to Pohnpei (Federated States of Micronesia), I had a chance to try some new game meats. Brown Noddy (barbecued) lived up to its expected fishy taste. My guide kept missing his shots on Micronesian Pigeon, but it's reported to be tasty. The wild rooster was very tough but tasted like, who'd've guessed, chicken.
I saw fruit bats flying around and asked my guide if they ate them. He told me they taste like dog. On Pohnpei, they love to eat dog. I told him that was a bad taste reference, kinda like telling someone something tastes like a human being.
They taste like pork.
Permits are not Free Enterprise.
The Chinese governmeent-directed free enterprisers could run any of these softies out of business any day and probably soon will.
Yes, Max, soon all our sandwiches will be prepared in China and shipped halfway around the world for our enjoyment.
All our seafood will come from China once Obama and his "green" campaign donors at BP get done ruining the Gulf of Mexico fishery.
Most of it does, already

We will outcompete them if we just believe! All we need are good thoughts, free markets, and fairy dust.

Tony, I always thought of you as better than agreeing with Max. Shameful.
We will outcompeteregulate them if we just believe! All we need are good thoughts, free markets, and fairy dust.
The Right People!
Here's "free enterprise" in NY State and one of the reasons NY is an economic wasteland and a hell hole that will be among the first states to fall into dissolution once we start to collapse in this country. A guy I used to know at work when I still had a job, one of the maintenance guys, had run his own one man body shop out of his garage for 30 years. Late last summer he was visited by the bureaucrats in NY who is in charge of regulating business. He was told he needed to install $70,000.00 of worker safety equipment. In as much as he does not gross anything even close to that amount each year, this effectively puts him out of business. I am leaving this shit hole in another month and I am glad for it.
But that inspector could have tripped over a floor jack and injured his relevance.
You have to hand it to NY. They're definitely working overtime to shrink their tax base.
A client of mine owns a real estate company, in NJ. He converted a house to office space, and has been there for about 20 years. Recently, the fire inspector told him that his basement poses a hazard. The windows were too small for firemen to get into. There's no entry to the basement from inside the structure, just a Bilco door on the outside. He was told he'd have to install some sort of monitoring device that is tied directly into the fire hall. They gave him a month to fix it. If he doesn't comply, they will fine him $1,000/day until it is rectified.
What, no strippers?
Dude, no way man that is just too cool. WOw.

Die.
First is Meredith Bragg's story of a sandwich
Was I the only one expecting the SWAT team to burst in before he could take a bite of his sandwich?
Or to I read to much Balko stuff?
Meredith Bragg's sandwich story makes me happy. And hungry.
Here's another good one that should be on the list. Hat tip to Jerry Pournelle.

I tried voting for SANDWICH; however -- not surprisingly -- there was a PHP error, and I wasn't able to do so.
Great job, highly overpaid government webdevs.
The US Chamber of Commerce isn't part of the government. It's a 501(c)(6) organization.
That looks like a fantastic sandwich. Where do I get one?
When is Reason going to post on Dennis Hopper?
Read a great quote about him today from Roger Simon.
"Say what, you might ask? Yes, you read me correctly. Unlike other Hollywood hot shots like Sean Penn, Oliver Stone, etc, who never once changed a single thought they ever had, whether on LSD or a glass of milk, Dennis Hopper was able to see that the very thing that allowed him to live the wild and crazy life he did was deeply obvious. Forget all the self-serving narcissistic left-wing baloney. It was good old fashioned American Freedom! Nowhere else could Dennis have been Dennis ? and he knew it. He wanted that for everybody."
John,
It was reported that he gave money to the Republican Party. Say it wasn't so!
And he voted for Obama. Talk about being on the wrong side. Twice!
Did the EPA choose any of these videos as finalists???

B-b-bureaucrats are dumb, but not that dumb. I checked the site, it says they'll announce a winner in June. Also noticed this:
Holy shit, how many people are on the payroll for the E-Rulemaking Program???
This is the most reliable thing of thing we've ever used. enterprise videos is the most valuable business resource we have EVER purchased. enterprise videos was the best investment I ever made.
We forget that the greatest revolution in human history was the rise of free markets and representative government in the 18th century. Our ultimate freedom is the right to profit from our work and ideas, our right to achieve whatever we are capable of and enjoy the fruits of that effort. Obviously, an idea that many Americans looking to the government for solutions to all their personal problems have forgotten.
Tracy Foster is unbelievably hot.
She wants it.
Well, I agree with the first statement.
Yeah, those dimples are killing me.
Free Enterprise is apparently limited to the US, including voting.
America invented Democracy. You have to have our expressed written consent to vote.
Hey! You're being sarcastic, right?

Check out my tumblr blog: Chicks In Their Underwear
I can direct you to some great porn sites if you can't find any.
Threadjack: drug war violence on the Mexican border. Fishermen from Texas are getting robbed by "pirates" on a reservoir created by damming the Rio Grande. They make it sound like a few isolated acts of piracy, but if you read further, it's a major marijuana smuggling route.
awesome. Looks like a good opportunity for some wannabe vigilantes.
Another threadjack: Prosecutors do sometimes get fired. Only it's for speaking at a Tea Party rally, not job performance.
This seems to have gone better than the Draw Mohammed Contest.
