Not bad. Not bad at all.

    1. J sub D   15 years ago

      What FOE said.

  2. Untermensch   15 years ago

Why can't we have Peter Bagge back? I need a shirt that says "I came to Reason looking for Peter Bagge, and all I got was a stupid Henry Payne."

  3. anarch   15 years ago

Would it also work if he were facing Right instead of Left?

  4. ed   15 years ago

B+ for use of the word "cretin."
Extra credit for truthfully portraying Obama as a cudgel-wielding liar.

    1. ed   15 years ago

And if the driver is Barney Frank in drag, a gold star.

      1. Wood   15 years ago

And if the driver is Barney Frank in drag, a gold star.

It almost certainly is: check out those man-boobs, that black lipstick, and the sadomasochistic fake police uniform; that's him, all right.

  5. Ben   15 years ago

I actually laughed. If Obama doesn't get defeated in 2012, Republicans have only themselves to blame.

  6. Barack Obama   15 years ago

If you don't like the way I govern, stay off the sidewalk!

    1. Ken Shultz   15 years ago

      +1

  7. Enjoy Every Sandwich   15 years ago

I'm a bit confused on this subject. I heard yesterday that criminal charges are going to be brought against Goldman Sachs, at the SEC's instigation.

But Obama et al are claiming that the financial meltdown occurred because the financial markets are unregulated.

    Both cannot be true.

    1. Obama   15 years ago

      Keep that to yourself, mister.

    2. wtp   15 years ago

They claim to be investigating criminal charges. Considering how weak the civil case is, it seems this is just a way to keep this in the news to bolster their regulatory plan.

      1. Valerie Jarrett   15 years ago

        Ya' think?

      2. J sub D   15 years ago

As near as I can tell, Goldman Sachs sold assets that they believed were overvalued to people who believed they were either correctly or undervalued.

If that's criminal, every financial transaction is.

        1. JR   15 years ago

I'd love to throw that SOB that sold me Enron shares in jail. Greedy SOB took advantage of me.

      3. Enjoy Every Sandwich   15 years ago

Well, I figured that. I'm just trying to reconcile that with the wild claims that the financial sector is some sort of unregulated Wild West.

    3. PapayaSF   15 years ago

Tony explained this earlier this week: all failures of regulation prove that we don't have enough regulation, so the answer is more regulation. It's all very simple, really.

And yes, good cartoon this week. Extra points for the vintage Highway Patrol-era cop car.

  8. Anomalous   15 years ago

I like the mid-1950s cop car.

  9. Xeones   15 years ago

It tells a truth, but as usual, only the "Friday" part of "Friday Funnies" is factual.

    1. Ghost of Schr?dinger's cat   15 years ago

Are you even sure it was drawn on Friday?

  10. sage   15 years ago

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  11. Xeones   15 years ago

Are you even sure it was drawn on Friday?

Ooh. Good point. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO BELIEVE ANYMORE

  12. Keyser Soze   15 years ago

    It's funny because it's true...

  13. Team America   15 years ago

    Payneful.

    1. Balls   15 years ago

      Fuck Yeah!

  14. P Brooks   15 years ago

Goldman Sachs, in the Library, with a solid gold spork.

    1. Ska   15 years ago

It looked like an oversized coke spoon to me.

    2. Jimmy 'Crack' Corn   15 years ago

      +5 on both of these

  15. Ska   15 years ago

Is the reason girl available for a round of golf later? I'd like to show her my putts.

    1. St. V   15 years ago

If all you have to show is your short game, I don't think you stand a chance.

  16. creech   15 years ago

Much better than anything the Pulitizer Prize winning Tony Auth does for the Inquirer.

  17. Enyap   15 years ago

Obama hunt for the real crooks has about as much legitimacy as OJ hunt for the real killer.

    1. Jimmy 'Crack' Corn   15 years ago

      +8

  18. MSA   15 years ago

It's almost cute how Obama is too stupid to know Goldman will write the news regs to benefit Goldman.

    1. Crawdad   15 years ago

What makes you think he doesn't know? They were his single biggest backer in "08.

      1. Sean W. Malone   15 years ago

        2nd biggest... Behind UCLA.

    2. JR   15 years ago

I used to think he was shrewd but cynical but have realized that he is just a dolt. Would love to see those Occidental College transcripts.

    3. Etienne   15 years ago

      Who's being naive now Kate?

      1. Etienne   15 years ago

"Oh. Who's being naive, Kay? "
        sorry

  19. O.J. Simpson   15 years ago

I'll help, even though I'm still looking for the real murderers of my bitch-ass ex-wife and her lover.

  20. economist   15 years ago

I think Fannie Mae had accomplices. That's why I have a warrant for Alan Greenspan.

  21. Jimmy 'Crack' Corn   15 years ago

Good Friday Funny today, and even better posts.

  22. Botox Porcupine   15 years ago

    Excellent.

    Oh, and racist.

  23. wingnutx   15 years ago

This is the best friday comic that I can remember.

Then again, I've managed to block most of them from memory.

  24. Barney Frank   15 years ago

    Wasn't me.

  25. The Libertarian Guy   15 years ago

Come on, people... it's easy to find crooks. Tune in C-SPAN, you'll see hundreds of 'em.

    1. Mr. FIFY   15 years ago

Too obvious. Besides, you'll never convince the Team Red/Team Blue worshipers.

Unlike the First Amendment, which limited the actions of Congress and by extension had to be incorporated, the Second Amendment stated that RKBA was not to be infringed, and lacked detail as to by whom, and therefore applied to all government. By its very language it was already applicable to the states!
