Apparently, Ray "The Streak" Stevens is a tea partier. Also, it's possible that he edits his own videos:

    good morning again reason

The only thing the Tea Party was missing was folk songs. It is now complete.

    1. Kyle Jordan Prime   15 years ago

      See Untermensch (sp?), it's magic.

      Morning Suki.

      1. Suki   15 years ago

        Hi KJP!

  2. Fist of Etiquette   15 years ago

    Don't look, Ethel.

    1. Pro Libertate   15 years ago

      Nice.

      1. Pro Libertate   15 years ago

That song was pretty big during the 70s, believe it or not.

        1. ransom147   15 years ago

          #1 pop hit is big.

        2. Fist of Etiquette   15 years ago

          Worst decade ever.

  3. Warty   15 years ago

I'm not sure if that's brilliant or a brilliant parody. Awesome.

  4. ed   15 years ago

O'Reilly had him on a couple months ago. They played a clip from the ancient "Ahab The Arab." The next night, Keith Olbermann pointed out FOX News's vicious, hateful racism.

    1. Marc   15 years ago

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess held captive in a high castle. The next night, Keith Olbermann pointed out FOX News's vicious, hateful racism.

    2. Suki   15 years ago

Was that as good as "The Bel Air Arabs?"

      1. Upgrayyed   15 years ago

"The Fresh Sheik of Bel Air" FTFY

  5. Drax the Destroyer   15 years ago

    Washington...Good. Jefferson...Better.
Reagan...Oh Fuck, here we go. Truman...you've got to be shitting me.

    1. Codger   15 years ago

He dropped the Big One! Twice!

    2. bookworm   15 years ago

Apparently, Ray Stevens didn't know that Truman was the first president to try to give us socialized medicine.

  6. Abdul   15 years ago

PETA gets hot models, and the Tea Party gets Ray Stevens.

    Life is really unfair.

  7. BakedPenguin   15 years ago

...it's possible that he edits his own videos.

If it weren't for the still photos, I would have thought it wasn't edited at all, just shot "in camera".

    1. ed   15 years ago

And yet it's technically superior to 99.97% of all the other vids there.

  8. Joel   15 years ago

I'd be more convinced if he could have found one republican bum he wanted thrown out.

  9. henry   15 years ago

Ray Stevens is just about right. He's a good fit with Chuck Norris, Pat Boone and Jon Voight. Nothing like a stream of cranky old white guys to dispel the ol' Tea Party image.

    1. Douglas Fletcher   15 years ago

Oy vey. The tea parties I've seen around here have more women than men, some of them actually good looking.

      1. Rainer Wolfcastle   15 years ago

        1:19 Condom?

    2. mantooth   15 years ago

They are going to build a shining new republic in Gatlingburg, TN.

  10. Peetsker   15 years ago

he's a corny ol' bastard, but it's not like he's wrong or anything

  11. Douglas Fletcher   15 years ago

I don't understand what the shot of basketball players has to do with it.

    1. Jesse Walker   15 years ago

I think it's a reference to fouling out. But I'm not sure.

    2. Ken Shultz   15 years ago

In middle America, I think pro basketball players are seen as a the epitome of over-privileged big spenders who think they're above the rules.

And referees can throw "the bums" out of a game.

I don't think there's any more to it than that.

  12. Ernest P. Worrell   15 years ago

    What about me?

    1. ransom147   15 years ago

      you're actually dead...

  13. TooFunny   15 years ago

Ahab The Arab, lol!! Totally forgot about that old song.

Back in the day, my father had a searchlight business & hired them out to various events (usually car dealership sale-a-ramas) & often we tagged along. One outdoor event featured Ray Stevens with two blond go-go dancers, one on each side of him, with short-shorts & white go-go boots. Too funny all around.
