This is sort of funny... I get to be the first comment because I'm still up, hello East Coast folks!

    Also.

Like Barack The Obama lets other men ride in the back seat next to Him. sheesh.

    1. Suki   15 years ago

That drawing might make some forget that he's Black.

  4. Fist of Etiquette   15 years ago

I hate when they put spoilers in the title.

    1. heller   15 years ago

Like when the title says that something is funny but it actually isn't.

  5. Pete Seeger   15 years ago

???? If you miss me in the back of the bus...

    1. Older and Wiser   15 years ago

      Come on over to the shorter bus;
      I'll be ridin' in there.????

  6. That Chick from Ohio   15 years ago

That would be the 58th state.

    1. Suki   15 years ago

LOL, took me a while to remember the reference. Better than the cartoon!

  7. dmoynihan   15 years ago

I mean, seriously--nautical reference; titanic deficit. What does that suggest to you? boat? iceberg?

    d-

  8. brotherben   15 years ago

The more I stare at this cartoon trying to see where he hid the chuckle or the irony or the sarcasm, the more I am missing Bok. This is, upon closer inspection, worse than Chip Bok.

    1. Art Appreciation 101   15 years ago

Please. All you libertarians do is complain about every cartoon. Frankly, the closest anyone of you have come to creating art is a pencil tracing of your own penis.

      1. mr simple   15 years ago

At least it got some laughs.

        1. Art Appreciation 101   15 years ago

I stand corrected. Who knew Mr. Simple was an expert in miniature reproductions.

          1. Brody   15 years ago

You said it was a good size!

            1. Art Appreciation 101   15 years ago

Brody, he forgot to read the warning on his convex mirror: "objects in mirror are larger than they appear"

              1. Art Appreciation 101   15 years ago

                smaller! smaller! smaller!

              2. heller   15 years ago

Is this Henry Payne? The humor is unmistakable...

            2. Rene   15 years ago

When a girl says it's a good size: it's just a nice way of saying it's small.

      2. brotherben   15 years ago

        YeeeeeeHaaaaaaaawwwwww. I'ma libertarian!

  9. P Brooks   15 years ago

    I see....

    a drawing of some sort.

    Right?

  10. Joe M   15 years ago

It would've been better if it were driving off a cliff.

  11. Warren   15 years ago

          Wrong again.

  12. Mori   15 years ago

I arrived here via a link in your RSS feed to this page. Why couldn't you have linked directly to this page? What good does that middle page do? Time to disintermediate.

  13. The Art-P.O.G.   15 years ago

I actually thought this cartoon was funny. Not choke-on-my-own-tongue funny, but funny.

    1. The Art-P.O.G.   15 years ago

Since I haven't been on "Hit & Run" all week, this leads me to believe that these cartoons are funnier if you don't follow current events too closely.

      1. Episiarch   15 years ago

        Maybe you're just drunk.

        1. The Art-P.O.G.   15 years ago

          Well, there is that.

  14. Jeremy Caldwell   15 years ago

Amazing, it just keeps getting funnier and funnier all the time.

Withering sarcasm from the anon bot.

  15. Jim   15 years ago

This would have been relevant a week and a half ago. Now it's ancient history.

    1. Upstater85   15 years ago

No... "Staying the course" is always relevant when talking about Mr Transparencipopulista.

  16. Jim   15 years ago

    Plus it's racist.

    1. Jimmy 'Crack' Corn   15 years ago

Yes, since when did the Big O let any white person ride in the back of the Limo with him?

  17. Upstater85   15 years ago

    Solid B+

  18. St?phane Dumas   15 years ago

"Staying the course", heheheheh, I wonder if his gas pedal is stuck to the floor like some recent Toyota Camry? (Sorry I couldn't resist ^^;)

  19. Tater Salad   15 years ago

Hey all you Progressives and/or liberals. How about signing this petition and show us your intelligence. The Obama administration is doing it to us right now and you are supporting him so I guess you can support this petition.

  20. Tater Salad   15 years ago

Staying the course of the "Progressive" agenda. Obama's hero....Woodrow Wilson.

  21. Tater Salad   15 years ago

The White House hasn't killed these taxes though. Obama is promoting Sharia Law with our tax money>

My only point is that if you take the Bible straight, as I'm sure many of Reasons readers do, you will see a lot of the Old Testament stuff as absolutely insane. Even some cursory knowledge of Hebrew and doing some mathematics and logic will tell you that you really won't get the full deal by just doing regular skill english reading for those books. In other words, there's more to the books of the Bible than most will ever grasp. I'm not concerned that Mr. Crumb will go to hell or anything crazy like that! It's just that he, like many types of religionists, seems to take it literally, take it straight...the Bible's books were not written by straight laced divinity students in 3 piece suits who white wash religious beliefs as if God made them with clothes on...the Bible's books were written by people with very different mindsets...in order to really get the Books of the Bible, you have to cultivate such a mindset, it's literally a labyrinth, that's no joke.
