    Copyright infringement... ON RACISM!

  2. Fist of Etiquette   17 years ago

Actually, I like this one. But then again, I'm drunk.

    1. Suki   17 years ago

I'm sober and don't find it funny.

      1. Untermensch   17 years ago

Bok is like drunken fist kung-fu: you need to be a little drunk to appreciate his mastery: otherwise he looks a little unsteady. Come to think of it, I'm not sure intoxication would make him look steady...

      2. joshua corning   17 years ago

Wait so a quote from a guy who says you can't spend like it is monopoly money...and then actually show an altered monopoly board that depicts grotesque amounts of spending.

        How is this not funny?

        1. The Libertarian Guy   17 years ago

But... but... when Obama spends non-existent money, He is doing it according to His Divine Plan.

          Didn't you get the memo?

  3. Suki   17 years ago

    GOOD MORNING reason!

    Happy New Year!

  4. jester   17 years ago

Bon Jour, tous le monde. New Decade. As if we all had a say. *heavy sigh*

  5. ed   17 years ago

Who's the funny-looking white guy with the cane?

    1. Suki   17 years ago

      The Mayor of Libertopia, silly.

      1. JW   17 years ago

Cxn't be. He'd have a moustache to wax and twirl.

        1. Suki   17 years ago

Just noticed that! Thanks, my eyes weren't workin' right this morning.

New news, charges against Blackwater contractors for killing civilians dismissed by judge. Federal prosecutors violated the rights of the defendants.

          1. Tulpa   17 years ago

I bet the administration is kicking itself for letting those Blackwater guys get away with murder. Heads are gonna roll, I tell ya.

            </sarcasm>

            1. The Libertarian Guy   17 years ago

The same admin that let the New Black Panther Party skate on intimidating voters with weapons?

    2. joshua corning   17 years ago

      Obama

    3. Hobo Chang Ba   17 years ago

      The Elephant Man

  6. Jesse Jackoff   17 years ago

    That's racist!

    1. jester   17 years ago

everything is racist in our new decade. might as well accept it.

  7. The Art-P.O.G.   17 years ago

I'm not sure it's funny, but I like the art so I give it the Art-P.O.G. Seal of Approval?.

  8. P Brooks   17 years ago

    It *is* colorful.

    1. Tulpa   17 years ago

So is my puke after eating a package of Starbursts, but I don't put that online and say it's funny.

      1. Barack Obama   17 years ago

Soon, Starbursts will be taxed at a dollar apiece.

        Not per package... per piece.

        It's for The Children.

      2. Silentz   17 years ago

Sounds like we have our next Friday Funnies submission!

  9. Tulpa   17 years ago

Why does the Monopoly guy look like Homer Simpson? And why is he a fiscal conservative if he's working for the Obama administration?

    1. Joe Wilson   17 years ago

      Homer Simpson?

      You lie!

      1. Hermet   17 years ago

You are right, he looks more like Nixon.

        It's the eyes.

    2. joshua corning   17 years ago

      http://www.realclearpolitics.c.....money.html

  10. In Time Of War   17 years ago

Hmm, I think it would be a lot more funny if ol' Uncle Sam had a big shit-eating grin and was saying "We CAN spend tax dollars..."
It'd be a lot closer to the truth.

  11. CatoTheElder   17 years ago

    Brilliant!

Except the dice should show snake-eyes or boxcars 'cause the Obama is going to crap out.

  12. Tulpa   17 years ago

And why aren't there any houses built on TARP?

  13. Mike M.   17 years ago

Awesome cartoon to start off the new year right.

  14. Tsu Dho Nihm   17 years ago

What's the difference between Monopoly money and US currency?

  15. the innominate one   17 years ago

    Monopoly money is worth something.

Mike M. is still drunk, apparently.

  16. anarch   17 years ago

Monopoly money can be used for its stated purpose.

  17. anarch   17 years ago

    At its full value.

  18. anarch   17 years ago

    Brilliant minds think alike.

  19. jester   17 years ago

Luxury Tax shoulda read Carbon Tax. Lost opportunity.

    1. The Libertarian Guy   17 years ago

Same thing, jester... both taxes are evil. Still gets the point across.

  20. John Galt   17 years ago

    LOLACAUST

  21. LarryA   17 years ago

Notice that the "Go" arrow is pointed backwards? Priceless.

  22. Spencer   17 years ago

    i enjoyed this

just think by the end of 2010 the entire board will be full

  23. Colonel_Angus   17 years ago

It doesn't have to be funny. It bluntly states the contradiction in Obama's inane comment.

  24. Unique Stuff   17 years ago

haha..funny picture.. anyway who made this? a brilliant idea, combining monopoly game board and current US policy..a nice medium to express the author mind.. keep posting..

My only point is that if you take the Bible straight, as I'm sure many of Reasons readers do, you will see a lot of the Old Testament stuff as absolutely insane. Even some cursory knowledge of Hebrew and doing some mathematics and logic will tell you that you really won't get the full deal by just doing regular skill english reading for those books. In other words, there's more to the books of the Bible than most will ever grasp. I'm not concerned that Mr. Crumb will go to hell or anything crazy like that! It's just that he, like many types of religionists, seems to take it literally, take it straight...the Bible's books were not written by straight laced divinity students in 3 piece suits who white wash religious beliefs as if God made them with clothes on...the Bible's books were written by people with very different mindsets...in order to really get the Books of the Bible, you have to cultivate such a mindset, it's literally a labyrinth, that's no joke

soon making it the springboard for the entire punk movement. By selling clothes, he was remaining in the family business, since he'd grown up in the rag trade before drifting through art school, but unlike his adoptive mom, he would use clothes to shock. Even while arguably turning music into a mere subset of fashion, he would push music in a more rebellious direction.
