    That's racist.

    1. Grandpa Whithers   16 years ago

      This isn't and it's funny:

      Hide The Decline - Climategate

      1. sage   16 years ago

Dude, put it down at the bottom if you're not replying to the comment. What are you, lonewhacko?

        1. sage   16 years ago

I should say though that I like the video. Hopefully it's going viral.

        2. Grandpa Whithers   16 years ago

Dude, put it down at the bottom if you're not replying to the comment.

          I was.

  2. zswoopingdown   16 years ago

    wat

  3. Art-P.O.G.   16 years ago

Meh. Definitely not in the same league as the last Friday Funny, even though the art in this one is good.

  4. Uh Huh   16 years ago

I get it. There's going to be a battle.

    1. Spencer   16 years ago

      i don't see it.

  5. FrBunny   16 years ago

Stantis flatters our Congresspeople. Meta-factual campaign speeches and backroom deals aren't exactly combat.

Still, if I were in the Senate I would show up with a sharpened trident.

    1. MNG   16 years ago

      And a net?

      1. Episiarch   16 years ago

        Retiarii!

  6. Jeff   16 years ago

I wish this was how legislation were decided. We'd be well below the required 60 votes by now.

  7. P Brooks   16 years ago

It's not Team Red vs Team Blue.

It's Team Red-and-Blue vs us. Let the pillaging commence.

    1. .   16 years ago

It's Team Purple vs. itself, actually. They only differ, philosophically, on the details.

  8. Fist of Etiquette   16 years ago

You all have it wrong. They're armed to protect themselves from public backlash.

  9. Rich   16 years ago

One can hope it plays out like this.

  10. Warren   16 years ago

    Not funny
    Not meaningful
    Fair artwork

    Grade: D+

  11. yet another dave   16 years ago

the vikings vs the cowboys? I don't get it

  12. Bas Mon   16 years ago

Wow, privacy bot has a stutter?

      1. Tulpa   16 years ago

It goes well with his terrible taste in comics.

  13. Hormonal Redhead   16 years ago

Am I the only one who thought of the Capital One commercials?

    "Arrr! What's in *yer* wallet?"

    1. Hazel Meade   16 years ago

      THAT would have been funny.

    2. JB   16 years ago

      lol. Exactly.

They are after everything in our wallets.

  14. Some dude   16 years ago

So which ones are against Obamacare? The cowboys, pirates, vikings, knights, centurions...

    1. J sub D   16 years ago

So which ones are against Obamacare? The cowboys, pirates, vikings, knights, centurions...

      Informed citizens (not shown).

      1. Paul   16 years ago

        Win.

      2. DanielNieblas   16 years ago

      3. Spencer   16 years ago

        +1

  15. Marc   16 years ago

    I like cowboys.

    1. sage   16 years ago

      Do you like gladiator movies?

    2. The Ghost of Princess Di   16 years ago

I like horses. I like people who like horses.

      1. sage   16 years ago

I like you. You have balls. I like balls.

  16. Kolohe   16 years ago

It's marginally better if you have the Star Trek fight music in your head when you look at it.

    1. Episiarch   16 years ago

I assume you're referring to Amok Time music. Vulcans always win, dude.

      1. BakedPenguin   16 years ago

        Here.

  17. Tulpa   16 years ago

The only good news is that the pirates and Vikings apparently haven't chosen sides yet. I smell a huge federal subsidy for eyepatches, peg legs, and longships coming down the pipe.

  18. twistedmerkin   16 years ago

    "Arrr! What's in *yer* wallet?"

    Apparently, Obama's fucking hand.

  19. Ginko   16 years ago

Well, I like the idea of putting the sociopathic miseryshits of Congress in silly costumes, giving them weapons and having them battle to the death. Yeah, the "Amok Time" music would be perfect as Pelosi's eyes go wide at an incoming strike by a Klingon bat'leth.

  20. BakedPenguin   16 years ago

Ginko, did you have to mention Pelosi? I instantly had a thought of her wearing this, and now I need some mind-bleach.

  21. Paul   16 years ago

Oh, now I get it. It's a strongly bipartisan issue. Which party does the Pirate belong to?

    1. Kolohe   16 years ago

      Piratpartiet

  22. claymore   16 years ago

I thought it was a football reference.
    Vikings vs. Cowboys?

  23. Nipplemancer   16 years ago

if more congresstards showed up in chambers looking like GWAR, i'd be a happy man.
as for the comic, they couldn't get Chip Bok to bore us this week? D-

  24. P Brooks   16 years ago

This cartoon works, sort of, if you squint your eyes really hard, and imagine it in the context of Professional Wrestling. The pirates-vikings-cowboys grudge match in the cage (The doors are welded shut!!!) is a bloody melee to the death.

After the show, they all change into their street clothes and go to dinner together.

  25. Suki   16 years ago

    I smiled, but still a -1

    Keep trying.

  26. Han Solo   16 years ago

To get this thing passed they would need to be "armed" to the teeth, however you want to interpret that.

    Something along those lines maybe?

    1. DanielNieblas   16 years ago

      wtf do you mean?

      *kills with lightsaber

  27. Lester Hunt   16 years ago

    My vote:

    Funny?: Yes.
    Obvious?: No.
    Artwork good?: Yes.

  28. Shuya and Noriko   16 years ago

    Battle Royale III: Congressional Edition

    1. bobzmoose   16 years ago

      If only...

  29. Chris   16 years ago

Ninjas Vs. the mortal enemy of the Ninja, the Pirate, would have been better

    1. claymore   16 years ago

Clowns vs. Nuns would've been funnier.

  30. Your Good Buddy Johnny Clarke   16 years ago

Sorry, I don't find it funny at all. As a matter of fact, I find it slightly insulting.

My only point is that if you take the Bible straight, as I'm sure many of Reasons readers do, you will see a lot of the Old Testament stuff as absolutely insane. Even some cursory knowledge of Hebrew and doing some mathematics and logic will tell you that you really won't get the full deal by just doing regular skill english reading for those books. In other words, there's more to the books of the Bible than most will ever grasp. I'm not concerned that Mr. Crumb will go to hell or anything crazy like that! It's just that he, like many types of religionists, seems to take it literally, take it straight...the Bible's books were not written by straight laced divinity students in 3 piece suits who white wash religious beliefs as if God made them with clothes on...the Bible's books were written by people with very different mindsets.
