Like it or not, we're the mob.

The name of the museums pretty honest too
He is not an honest politician. By being honest, he ceased to be a politician.
Haha, Oscar Goodman...well...God bless him...he cuts a little too close to the bone there. Stand up Oscar! Now shut the hell up. Hahaha. Just foolin'...hahhaha...maybe.
Who is "we"? The answer to that question matters for "our" evaluation of Goodman's statement.
Who is "we"?
Agreed. If he's going for an "I'm Spartacus!" moment, FAIL.
If he's actually talking about the government, or even just the government of Las Vegas in particular, he's demonstrating highly unusual self-awareness for a politician. Not that i expect him to resign or anything.
Don't know the context of this, but I'm willing to believe an "I am Spartacus" interpretation over a "the government functions like the Mafia" interpretation.
So, yeah, I agree with Xeones that it's just a fail.
The context = he's saying Vegas needs a Mob museum because the Mob is central to Vegas history.
