Love and Marriage
Afghanistan's parliament has approved and president Hamid Karzai has signed a law which critics say legalizes rape in marriage. The law, which applies only to the minority Shia population, allows husbands to demand sex from their wives and and to forbid them from leaving the house without permission. Now, women's activists in that country say the government is set to approve a similar law that will cover the majority Sunni population.
