Heh. Pretty funny. Now if we can keep up this pattern of every other Friday Funny actually being good that's a definite improvement over every third one being clever.

  2. Art-P.O.G.   17 years ago

Nice art, too. Subtle and tasteful use of digital color.

  3. John Tagliaferro   17 years ago

    Not bad.

Chris Muir has a good one today too, if that Pelosi show from yesterday is of interest.

  4. Art-P.O.G.   17 years ago

I enjoyed the Muir piece, too. Thanks, John.

  5. Zero Comments   17 years ago

Hi. My name is Zero Comments. I love your blog, John.
And that Lonewhacko novel is to die for. Literally.

  6. !   17 years ago

OK, this is approaching funny. Movement in the right direction.

  7. Ben Kenobi   17 years ago

Is that picture of Obama racist?

  8. !   17 years ago

Is that picture of Obama racist?

No, he is driving something other than a Cadillac.

  9. Untermensch   17 years ago

I have to agree. This is a step up. It definitely passes the Marmaduke Test by a lot and almost made it to the Laugh Out Loud Test.

  10. !   17 years ago

Is Henry Payne incapable of drawing the Chrysler logo, or just the Dodge Ram head?

Maybe he had to spell it out for some readers?

  11. palvar   17 years ago

At least these are starting to make sense.

  12. ANG   17 years ago

Maybe he had to spell it out for some readers?

    Yea, for the girls.

  13. Warren   17 years ago

Still not funny. But right on point. It's got a nice beat but you can't dance to it. Would have been better if "taxpayer" was already under the tire.

  14. ?   17 years ago

Is that picture of Obama racist?

Sure! I think he's a retarded douche, and I looked at it. QED.

  15. David (not that one)   17 years ago

    Sadly, no. Fail.

Hi. My name is Zero Comments. I love your blog, John.
And that Lonewhacko novel is to die for. Literally.

Nobody should be linking to blogs here. Especially commerceul blogs. More especially anything mirroring SugarFree stories with or without permission.

  17. domoarrigato   17 years ago

    not bad - solid B

  18. P Brooks   17 years ago

    Needs more cliches.

Obama should be driving a great big bus, with "Socialism Express" for a route sign. Pelosi and Waxman should be in the windows of the bus, playing "vroom, vroom" with toy Priuses. And Geithner should be pushing "Mr Bondholder" under the wheels, while Barney Frank steals his wallet.

  19. Zero Comments   17 years ago

    Mr to you NG #

Nobody should be linking to blogs here. Especially commercial blogs.

that Lonewhacko novel is to die for. Literally.

To be clear, I intended "to die for" to mean that the writing is so bad, it's deadly.

  20. Episiarch   17 years ago

More especially anything mirroring SugarFree stories with or without permission.

Seeing as I'm the one who created LoneWacko: The Novel, I'll be the judge of that, not NutraSweet.

And this cartoon was...actually on point. Not particularly funny, but at least accurate.

  21. !   17 years ago

Seeing as I'm the one who created LoneWacko: The Novel, I'll be the judge of that, not NutraSweet.

Have you sent the cease and decist letter yet? What are you doing to protect your intellectual property?

  22. Episiarch   17 years ago

It's a collaborative project. I want people to add to it and to host it. I'll deal with NutraSweet myself. (rubs hands)

  23. !   17 years ago

    (rubs hands)

He is probably ready for one of your hot oil massages right now. Good thinkin'.

Haven't seen anybody commenting where it is now, that Ninja chick place. Where else is it?

  24. Warren   17 years ago

Aspartame has homesteaded the lonewacko novel, therefore it's his.

  25. Episiarch   17 years ago

    Where else is it?

Bronwyn put it on Google Docs too. It doesn't matter, because no one else is really contributing, which kind of eliminates the point.

  26. ..   17 years ago

    It's a collaborative project

Is that why it's so poorly written? I managed to slog through four paragraphs before concluding that it was some sort of high school project for the short-bus riders.

  27. P Brooks   17 years ago

I'm still waiting for a royalty check.

  28. Episiarch   17 years ago

Is that why it's so poorly written?

It's poorly written to express LoneDipshit's thought patterns. Or else you just have no taste. I'll decide which later.

  29. !   17 years ago

I love the way the elitist professional writers are dissing LoneWacko: The Novel without providing samples of their own fine work.

  30. Paul   17 years ago

Except the UAW guy should have been drawn with a top hat, and smoking a cigar made of a $100 dollar bill.

  31. Art-P.O.G.   17 years ago

Lonewacko: The Novel is the literary equivalent of the emotion you get when you beat a state-of-the-art supercomputer at Clue. The only reason (drink!) I haven't added anything is that the bar's been raised so high and I have writer's block. Besides, Epi's impromptu narration whenever LoneWacko shows up in a thread is good enough for me.

  32. ..   17 years ago

It's poorly written to express LoneDipshit's thought patterns

Ah, I see. It succeeds even when it fails!
But do more than six people care?

  33. Fist of Etiquette   17 years ago

I think you mixed up which one is doing the driving.

  34. John Tagliaferro   17 years ago

Bronwyn put it on Google Docs too. It doesn't matter, because no one else is really contributing, which kind of eliminates the point.

Sorry for the posting restrictions. I just don't want to bother with a load of moderation.

Where is the Google doc? I have heard of that but have never used it.

  35. nike shox   14 years ago

    is good
