This conversation will be streamed live at Reason.com, starting at 8.30PM ET. If you can't attend in person, set your browser to Reason.com. If you're interested in chatting live with other viewers, go to mogulus.com/reason.

Um... could this be set so it doesn't load automatically?
My DirecTV on-screen guide still describes it as: "News. Repeat."
Conspiracy!
It's all a conspiracy, man! This conspiracy was brought to you by the same people who gave us 9/11 and Milton Friedman.
I second "BakedPenguin"'s request to de-select the automatic play function. Every time I open the page, or refresh it, this video starts to play again. Very irritating.
Um... could this be set so it doesn't load automatically?
Must be a rookie mistake.
Where the hell's the OFF button?
Ed - it looks like a power button - on/off switch
the same people who gave us 9/11 and Milton Friedman
Sarah and Jeno Friedman were behind 9/11?!? To war with Austria-Hungary!
Autoplay is Satan's work.
Wow, that's phenomenally annoying and I don't even have the sound on.

Ahhhh....Thanks, crispy penguin.
I owe you one.
If you are skeptical of universal preschool, there is already a lively debate at ABC 20/20 site. If you are so inclined go add your voice to the UPK debate here: http://abcnews.go.com/2020/Stossel/story?id=7070646&page=1
It's been said, but goddamn that auto-play sucks.
Yes, please, no autoplay! It took me forever to figure out which post was doing it. It's like I suddenly ended up on MySpace somehow.
Jesus fucking christ REASON. Autoplay is not going to make me start caring about your video content. So STOP IT.
Autoplay does suck. It is striking however how the allegedly evil and intollerant conservatives love an anti-war, pro gay marriage, pro legalized drug guy like Stossel and the alledgedly open minded liberals hate his guts. Libertarians, the conservatives may annoy you, but the liberals will kill you.
One more vote for shutting off the goddam auto-play.
Can you guys hold some similar events in LA, I know we're pretty vapid here, but you have an office out here, right? And I'm tired of being jealous of DC
Ron Paul will be on Larry King @9:45 discussing Marijuana legalization. http://www.campaignforliberty.com/blog.php?view=13230
My problem is that the player doesn't even appear 90% of the time, so there's no way to turn it off even if you knew how. Atrocious.
"One more vote for shutting off the goddam auto-play."
Fuck the majority! Just try and shut me down! Go ahead! I dare ya! Bitch."
Not to be a techno-snob, but have you tried Firefox + NoScript? I had to temporarily allow two or three scripts before I even saw a placeholder for the video feed.
The video chatroom was very entertaining, thanks all for the comments! Autoplay is definitely a problem though.
Firefox + NoScript seconded. This is why I have no idea what you all are complaining about.
So what the fuck. Was the new material from like 8:37 to 8:41? All night all I ever saw was ReasonTV reruns
Hey folks, there's a fucking mute button. Use it if it bugs you that bad.
I don't know how reason swung a full hour on broadcast media, but kudos to them. More of this!
an appearance by The Price Is Right host
If you blinked you missed him. The show had a disjointed feel to it, as the bits with Carey were crudely edited in. Reason was mentioned just a few times, very briefly, and I never felt their hand in the effort. It seemed to me to be a typically watered-down Stossel presentation, albeit still unusual for network fare. His shows should inspire, but they have an odd resignation, a sense of defeat. I blame the host. Stossel has all the energy of a basset hound.
AAAAAHHHHH
How long are we going to have to put up with this annoying thing now?
There are things I like about Reason.tv but between the really really awful spoof ads (or whatever you want to call em) and this, its getting to be a big pain in the ass.
Autoplay = Fuck Your Mother
20/20 got pre-empted by Big 12 basketball in my area. I was fucking pissed.
I'm glad the 20/20 show aired, because it means libertarian ideas are making their way into the mainstream. The portions I watched were good, but the information was mostly stuff I already know from reading "Hit and Run".
"If you blinked you missed him. The show had a disjointed feel to it, as the bits with Carey were crudely edited in."
Eh, it's what happens when you're given an hour time slot and you try to address 5-6 issues from within it. If they had focused on government bailouts only than we might have seen more substance, but I think that there isn't enough data or events in to warrant a one-hour special on only bailouts or the stimulus.
The bits on traffic and medicinal marijuana were excellent.
I second the fuck auto play motion.
I thought it was good even though I missed the first 10-15 minutes. They used a whole lot of clips from reason.tv...which is cool I suppose.
But yeah, autoplay.
Fucker's been messing with me all week.
"Libertarians, the conservatives may annoy you, but the liberals will kill you."
And we're back here at the Hyperbole Games, and John shoots, he scores! My goodness, a three pointer!
I'm glad the 20/20 show aired, because it means libertarian ideas are making their way into the mainstream.
I am too. Now, millions of people have a better idea of what "libertarian" means! And, they'll know to avoid it.
I already pre-emptively replied to the John Stossel ABC News show, pointing out some problems with one of the segments. I later watched the segment online, but I've been delaying updating the post with additional things he was wrong about because no one cares. If there were even the slightest buzz about the show I'd rush to update the post. As it is, I'll get to it later.
I mean, really. If they extended this list to include about 5000 items, the Stossel show might have made it to 4999. No one cares.
Shut the fuck up, Lonewacko. No one cares what you think about anything, you autistic virgin.
LoneWacko hasn't been a virgin ever since his mail order Grass-mud Horse arrived.
The bits on traffic and medicinal marijuana were excellent.
Stossel's usual pattern for a story is to raise the most likely objection or two that the viewer might have and answer it. I was surprised that he didn't ask something like, "So, do pay lanes mean the rich get to zoom past all the poor people?"
By the way, you can watch the whole special for free on ABC's website:
