Not much planned this weekend? How about entering Fark.com's Design a Flag for the Nanny State Photoshop challenge?

Some of my favorites:

See some (more?) really terrible photo manipulation from Jesse Walker's post earlier today on Photoshop phaux pas.

How about three or four soldiers gunning down a smoker who was within half a mile of a child?

  2. J sub D   17 years ago

    Thanks, I enjoyed the link.

  3. Other Matt   17 years ago

    Hilarious.

I liked the white one with the equal sign. I've always thought whoever the scoundrel was who introduced the word "equal" to political discourse deserved an eternity rotting in hell...

  5. Warren   17 years ago

    I'd go with:
    BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU

  6. PC   17 years ago

The ones at the link were nice, but I think thirteen red and white stripes and fifty white stars on a blue background would suffice.

  7. Jamie Kelly   17 years ago

Seven red stripes, six white stripes and A HELL OF A LOT OF STARS.

  8. Elemenope   17 years ago

    PC, Jamie Kelly:

Good shot, but that one just can't hold a candle to the Union Jack.

I like the giant diaper being flown above the White House. All that's missing is a big whopping skid mark.

Thomas Jefferson should be in hell?

I really do not think equality under the law is a defacto state fertilizer. Traditionally it worked more like chewing gum in class....if you are chewing it the teacher will make you give some to everyone so the logical choice was not to chew it in class in the first place.

  11. PC   17 years ago

"All that's missing is a big whopping skid mark."

    That's inside the house.

  12. P Brooks   17 years ago

A diaper? I wondered what the hell that was supposed to be.

  13. sage   17 years ago

P Brooks, I've changed a few the last 18 mos. I recognized that before the house it was flying above.

  14. Harpua   17 years ago

Props to the one with Fran Drescher.

  15. Pro Libertate   17 years ago

Drat! If I had the slightest ability to Photoshop, I'd submit something using the "bibertarian" label. Damn my ineptitude!

For those that don't know bibertarianism is nanny statism--"bib" + "libertarianism".

Is there going to be a Friday politics and prog thread, or is this thread the "general" thread for the weekend?

If this is the general thread, what do we think about the press release put out by Barr's people claiming they have poll results showing Barr drawing 7% in a three way with McCainiac and Obama?

Funny, I saw that same poll repeated on CNN only it had Obama, McCain and a blank pie wedge.

    Self serving balderdash.
Don't get me wrong. I'm so disgusted with the Dems and the GOP, I'd cheer if the socialist or prohibitionist candidate drew that much support away from the asswipes candidates we are being presented. I'd party like it's 1999 if a Libertarian got that.

I like the ones with Mary Poppins.
