Howley on Red Eye Tonight
I'll be rambling semi-coherently on Fox News' Red Eye at 2am ET. Here's a longish clip from last time, featuring a less-than-semi-coherent Mr. Tommy Chong, me, and a lot of frosted green eyeshadow:

Hmm, never watched this before. Gutfield looks like an alien is about to come out his throat The Hidden-style.
So Kerry, are you descended from dokkalfar or ljosalfar? It's hard to tell the difference between the two, you see.
Kerry has not lost a bit of her ability to flirt in bad taste. But she lost half her hotness when she cut her hair.
Kerry, I like your verve as well Get back up on that horse, try again...great.
I'm willing to admit it when I'm proved wrong. There ARE hot libertarian women.
Kerry, your haircut looks fantastic and your hotness is fully intact.
You might consider getting someone to do your makeup the next time. We have noticed the overdone eyeshadow before, if you don't mind us saying so.
Also, you have an enviable job.
I have to stand up in defense of KH's haircut. I like it a lot. It's sassy. It goes with her verrrrrrve.
She can even carry off the eyeshadow, IMO.
Also, she said the only line that actually made me laugh out loud. (It ends "... and you wouldn't even know it.")
Anyway, people need to lay off the haircut.
And I suspect the posting above by "Warren" is in fact that of an imposter. The devotion of the Warren we all know is unconditional, if impure and extreme.
I'd say the value of those eggs on an open market would be skyrocketing.
What happened to putting the clips on the Reason Magazine YouTube channel?
Kerry, you're bringing down your good name and Reason's with your appearances on that show.
>Kerry, you're bringing down your good name and Reason's with your appearances on that show.
Oh jeezus. Not that again.
Kerry,
You should know that you are allowed to politely decline invitations to appear on television. For instance, if, say, Red Eye calls, you can just say, "Thanks, but I'm not interested." You don't have to accept them all.
And by the way, Jesus Christ when is Tommy Chong going to go away?
i thought chong was the most coherent person on the show and easily the funniest. maybe it's the bong hits i just took.
"...featuring a less-than-semi-coherent Mr. Tommy Chong, an unfunny-to-an-equal-degree me..."
Fixed that for you.
I guess if you stayed up that late, had a lot to drink or snort or toke, then just about any form or degree of crass humor can seem hilarious? (Judging by the maniacle - did someone say "alien" - cackling following any of the comments by the guests on that show).
Is it wrong that I kept hoping David Cronenberg would throttle Greg Gutfeld?
Oh, those missed opportunities. Like the time I was interviewed in studio by Sean Hannity.
Regrets. I've had a few....
Greg N.,
How do you know she does accept them all? Perhaps they call her every day and she only accepts once a month or so.
Anyway, no matter how bad the surroundings are, it's always good to get exposure for Reason -- and always nice to see Kerry on TV!
I'm ashamed to have been entertained by that.
Kerry was by far the funniest person in that clip. The only one with any wit or timing, actually. She's good.
Wow, kerry
great work!
very insightful, brilliant and meaningful
thanks for sharing
I will be impatiently waiting for more soon
(great network to be on, by the way)
(of course you know, I am not serious; if I were you, I would not be sharing this with people)
Like the man says when Ron Paul invokes the Constitution?
M:
The constitution provides many rights, among them KH's right to appear on Red Eye, the right of others to criticize her for it, and my right to point out how tired that criticism is.
If Red Eye wants Reason staffers to appear on their show I think it's a great thing. I don't think Reason aspires to be a boutique publication that appeals to some elite population. I think Reason aspires to be read by as many people as possible, so that the magazine can make some money and potentially sway people towards libertarianism. You know the expression "no publicity is bad publicity?" I think it applies here.
Those who come on and repeatedly criticize Howley and Gillespie come across like whiny teenagers who are embarrassed to be seen with their parents in public or something. Which is to say, they are annoying.
ladies, my apologies for obscurely referring to the moderator's lament in response to Dr. Paul's phrase "orginal intent" hier; I was not looking for substantive constitutional issues in the graver matter at hand in this thread.
I must demur from the characterization of reason as putatively elitism-averse, or even elitism-neutral. Posters here constantly define their opponents out of whatever natural aristocracy of opinion a commenter is championing at the moment. To my mind, Mr. Balko, one of the most respected local authors, perpetually and vigorously establishes standards for membership in an honor society: an elite that recognizes the perpetual normative subordination of force to the dignity of persons.
I would characterize the "or something" as misgivings that might attend the spectacle of a teenager's parent's misguidedly attempting to ape cheap fashions s/he hopes the young will outgrow. Annoyance, I'm sure you will agree, dear the (may I call you the?), is specific to the taste of the beholder.
Making fun of suicide attempts and then giggling smugly... How pathetic and repellant.
Let's all pile onto Owen Wilson, he's a looooser! *Hee hee* Aren't we all just so cute and superior?
Aren't we all just so cute and superior?
Why yes, yes we are. You should go to the doctor and have that stick removed from your ass.
Yeah, right, if you don't find making fun of someone's attempt to commit suicide funny, then you must be uptight.
This is way more funny than Fox's Half hour comedy show.
So is the bubonic plague.
So is the bubonic plague.
Ha, that's funny.
I wish to say only that, while the individuals comprised by the entity known as "Reason" espouse superior ideas that are rare and likely to remain so, I find it unlikely that they do so with the intent of communicating only with those who already concur with their ideas. My thoughts on this issue are neither more nor less speculative than yours, provided you do not have access to information that the average reader of Reason does not.
"Annoyance, I'm sure you will agree, dear the (may I call you the?), is specific to the taste of the beholder."
Yes, I'm quite sure this goes without saying.
Kerry Howley and Tommy Chong should have their own comedy show together. I think it would strangely work. She'd be the brains and he would just smoke pot and they would both crack jokes. Kerry really is a cutie.
