Fingered

|

Craig Watson and his uncle Keith were loading a motorbike into a van in Bedlington, England, when it slipped and cut off one of Craig's fingers. His uncle called 999 emergency services, but dispatchers refused to send an ambulance, telling him to take Craig to the hospital himself. He did, but doctors were unable to reattach the finger. Local emergency officials are unapologetic about their response. A spokeswoman for the ambulance service told The Sun newspaper: "Mr. Watson's life was not in any danger."
