Actual Malice

Back when I lived in Manhattan, I knew slightly a guy who called himself Michael Malice, who was that rara avis, a hardcore Objectivist with a sense of humor. Now he edits the hilarious Overheard in New York weblog and, I've just learned, is being immortalized in a Harvey Pekar graphic novel, Ego & Hubris: The Michael Malice Story. Looks like it'll be entertaining.

Julian, what makes this guy an Objectivist? If he uttered a statement like that at an ARI gathering, he'd be shamed, cast out, pissed on, and he'd probably end up wearing his ass as a hat.
