The Web continues to disappoint in that it took me five tries to get a fershlugginer readable/printable copy of the NCAA Men's basketball tournament selections, but here it is, in all its Big East glory: http://cbs.sportsline.com/collegebasketball/mayhem/brackets/viewable_men.

And here's the women's: http://www.ncaasports.com/basketball/womens/brackets/viewable/2006/DIII. The women's brackets for Division I aint yet set.

And here's some coverage of the inevitable outrage at the crummy picks.

And as a Temple alum (MA, 1990) and Owls bball fan, all I can say is thank god, John Chaney[*] is finally retiring. The most scarifying and sanpaku visage in college hoops this side of Jerry Tarkanian and a great coach, yes–and one especially beloved by his players–but goddamn, his style of play meant that every game was an extended Maalox moment.

Let's see, Reason counts among its staffers a Tar Heel[#], a Huskie, a Hoya, a Gator, and a Fighting Illini. So let them start the arguments and predictions of winning and woe.
