I watched most of it and it is awesome! However, for the life of me I can not figure out if they are serous or not. Are they mocking the song and the band, or do they love it and are paying it homage? If they are mocking it, they are some of the driest and subtle mofos in all of China.

  2. masterchief   20 years ago

This is what the internet was created for.I loved it.

  3. Akira MacKenzie   20 years ago

Whoa! My mind has been blown.

  4. nancy   20 years ago

Fantastic. My 16-year-old daughter agrees; watched it all the way through just beaming

  5. Tom Crick   20 years ago

So there is a good argument against free speech!

  6. Baylen   20 years ago

That's fucking awesome. The roommate behind them never turns around until the end. He's probably listening to his iPod while fomenting revolution. Wow.

  7. Native NYer   20 years ago

From the end it looks like the guy in the back was looking at them sing on the monitor, I guess making such their lips were synced with the music. Lots of work but that was great!

  8. Daniel Montiel   20 years ago

    A successor to Numa-Numa!

  9. Jeff Smith   20 years ago

    Unfuckingbelievable

Funniest thing I have seen all day, and it has been a pretty funny day.

    Jeff

  10. tomWright   20 years ago

Hey, David Caradine has body-synched Shao-Lin monks for years with worse results.

  11. Stevo Darkly   20 years ago

    Oh Gawd.

Should I mention that my cousin and I used to lipsynch similarly to Judas Priest songs?

    No. I should not.

PS: If we could griiii-iiiip .... and hold onnnnnn to the nooote ....

  12. ralphus   20 years ago

Who needs the Navy when you have boy bands and officially licensed apparel?

  13. jf   20 years ago

I guess I'm the only one who thinks that is the stupidest fucking thing ever?

  14. mediageek   20 years ago

    That was hysterical.

Was the guy in the background playing an FPS?

  15. Rhywun   20 years ago

I guess I'm the only one who thinks that is the stupidest fucking thing ever?

    No, you're not.

  16. Mith   20 years ago

I watch it, and all I can think about is that those guys spent hour and hours practicing to make that.

That, and that there's a reasonable chance neither speaks English.

  17. Jeff P. (No Soul Edition)   20 years ago

Ah yes, young citizens under a murderous regime wearing NBA shirts and syncing a decade-old crap pop song. This probably violates countless cultural purity laws.
Yep, the revolution will happen any day now...

  18. Warren   20 years ago

WHA HA BBBBLBLBLB YOO YOO NOOOOO
    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
    *KAH-BLAP*

  19. coarsetad   20 years ago

My fav is still the fat kid lip-syncing some Euro-pop dance hit. (Will look for a link)

  20. thoreau   20 years ago

It appears that their teenagers are no different from ours.

That's either the best or worst news that I've heard in quite a while.

  21. coarsetad   20 years ago

    Here ya go:

    http://www.guzer.com/videos/numa_numa.php

    enjoy.

  22. thoreau   20 years ago

In other international comparisons, my Chinese friend's wife has more pairs of shoes and more purses than my wife. After learning this fact I had to apologize to my wife for complaining so much.

  23. Dave W.   20 years ago

cmon, you guys should be tracking ebaum's world a bit better. 1st link:

    http://media.ebaumsworld.com/annoyingasians.mpg

  24. Dave W.   20 years ago

    2d link:

    http://www.ebaumsworld.com/aicha.html

  25. Dave W.   20 years ago

    3d link:

I wanted to put up a link to Ollieman's version of "Aicha," which is funnier than the previous 2 videos combined. Unfortunately, it seems to be gone from the 'Net. Dang Intellectual Property Laws.

  26. Stevo Darkly   20 years ago

"My fav is still the fat kid lip-syncing some Euro-pop dance hit."

I think my favorite of all time is the "Star Wars kid" who videotaped himself using a microphone stand as a lightsaber as he went through various flourishes, and then forgot to take the tape out of the camcorder at school, and some other kids put the clip on the WWW.

Unfortunately the guy did not take well to the attention, because he assumed everyone was making fun of him. Well, probably some were, but I bet most actually admired him, like myself. The kid had some moves -- and moxie.

  27. Rob Halford   20 years ago

Oh Gawd. Should I mention that my cousin and I used to lipsynch similarly to Judas Priest songs?

    Stevo-

You better be heading out to the highway, because you're imitation was so bad it was breakin' the law. I'm screaming for vengeance, hell bent for leather, and if you don't think some heads are gonna roll, then you've got another thing coming.

  28. Stevo Darkly   20 years ago

Oh, call for the priest, because I'm a killing machine, running wild, and I'm going to ripper you a new one.

Actually, my Rob Halford imitation isn't bad, considering I can't sing.

  29. Electric Eye   20 years ago

I?m made of metal. My circuits gleam. I am perpetual. I keep the country clean.

  30. camus   20 years ago

"Tow" Chinese Boys! Funnier than the video!

  31. R C Dean   20 years ago

Are they mocking the song and the band, or do they love it and are paying it homage?

    Either way, its global!

  32. Rhywun   20 years ago

    My mind has been blown.

My head might explode IF they rip into say, Skinny Puppy... otherwise it just confirms my suspicion that teens (a) have no taste and (b) too much time on their hands.

  33. linguist   20 years ago

Alright, these links are both stupid and amusing.

I like Dave's link best...it had not only two boys doing Dance Dance Revolution without the machine, but also the BEST SOUNDTRACK EVER!!!

If I may philosophize for a moment and make a totally out of line cultural/racial comment... isn't this really an argument for us taking over the world militarily? Instead of kamikaze-karate-communist-army imperialists, Asians are now forced to channel all that energy into...this. It could happen to us too! (shakes head)

  34. ACC   20 years ago

"If they are mocking it, they are some of the driest and subtle mofos in all of China."

You're kidding, right? There was nothing dry or subtle about it. But it was funny.

  35. Tom Tancredo   20 years ago

This is an atrocity, and it's exactly what will happen if we continue to let those people in our country!

  36. Strong Bad   20 years ago

My head might explode IF they rip into say, Skinny Puppy...

    Your head es-plode.
