If You Know How the IRS Works, the Terrorists Will Have Won
For 30 years, the IRS released its various spreadsheets and statistical tables to Freedom of Information Act request-sliging outfits like Ralph Nader's Public Citizen and the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse. But this year, according to TRAC, the tax collectors are refusing, citing "new federal security requirements."

I'd like to amend the Constitution so that all elections take place on the same day that taxes are due.

That might be the best idea I've ever heard.
No, I want the elections one day later. So that all of the last minute filers, the ones for whom the pain is freshest in their minds, still have time to vote.
Oops. Just saw the Prez on tv. I'll have to retract the snark.
Apparently, people get hurt if the media gives out the wrong info, like who's punishing their political opponents with audits.
Time to get with the program, being as how we're at war and all. No terrorist appeasers in this household.
