In the latest print issue, Mr. Gillespie admits that he is not the biggest Rand fan. Yet in the article he concedes respect for the influence she has had. Well done.

Don't laugh, but my first exposure to Libertarianism was by Harry Browne. When I heard there was a party that supported gun rights AND legal drugs, I said "hell yeah (probably my exact words)!" The more I learned, the more I liked, particularly in the area of free trade and allowing businesses to fail, etc. So I owe a bit of thanks to Mr. Browne.

I used to be a dues paying member of the LP. I think that was how Reason got my address. I read the ad they sent me and that was it: my subscription is currently paid until the end of '06, and it was the best literature purchase I have ever made. To the staff of Reason, my sincere thanks.

Check out the ad for the "Admirers of Ayn Rand" dating service... I'm getting a video camera - this could be the next big trend in internet porn.

Along with Stone, Ditko and Greenspan I'd like to add the band Rush whose album 2112 was directly inspired by her book Anthem. I have never read any of her books and never will but that album rocked! [well, at least when I was twelve]
