Three Was the Magic Number
As the New York Times begins the Peter Jennings deathwatch, a latchkey nation wonders anxiously: who in the post-Big 3 universe is now going to pay for the ghostwriting of such classic pieces of spoon-fed Americana as The Canadian's In Search of America, Diamond Dan's The American Dream, and Slurry Brokaw's Never-ending Generation series? Who will pocket still more millions by letting us grok their hardscrabble, blue-collar personal creation myths? Who now will do the important work of interpreting Iowa, ending terrorism, and teaching us about journalism? Our nation turns its lonely eyes to … Brian Williams?

What's Chevy Chase doing these days?
I don't know, but I understand he's very angry about it.
Here are my suggestions to replace the network anchors.
