When referring to news sites requiring registration you might conveniently include disposable user IDs and passwords as may be obtained through bugmenot.com.

Believing that the Wapo is worth giving up my email address, I read the article. Anyone wanting to keep up with the direction this country is going should do so, too, and also check into the Houston Chronicle, the Austin Statesman and the Dallas Morning News.

Texas is the canary in the coal mine for where the US is going. Totally dominated by religious/corporate Republicans they are unprincipled, power driven bastards. No sense of decorum, no shame and no regard for the public good. None.

Even though I'm registered with the Washington Bleep, I don't know how it happened.
It and my computer just do not mesh, and that may not be a bad thing.
The daily e-mail I get from the Bleep, I delete immediately.
One of it's bells and whistles is always the straw that breaks my humble computer's back.
I have the same problem with Arutz Sheva from Israel, which distresses me more.

    But are their URL's user-friendly?

Oh, yes, Gadfly, and the Democrats are so much better.

People get the government they deserve (in democracies, at least).

Didn't Bush have something to do with the closing down of an Indian casino when he was Governor of Texas?

I went to college with Ralph Reed. He was always a genial and entertaining, yet vile miscreant. I'm glad to see he hasn't changed his evil ways.

    Mmmm, sausage.

Yes, the system works. The casino did not reopen. And your point? Besides boring me to tears with the no-story "reported" here.

  11. Jesse Walker   21 years ago

    And your point?

Pop some NoDoz and read the story again -- it'll come to you.

Here's a hint: It doesn't have anything to do with whether the casino reopened.

    Jesse Walker,

    *high-five*

NPR just ran a 10 minute story on this, as well as these asswipe Tom Delay syncophant's multi-million dollar swindle of a Michigan tribe. John McCain has an investigation going and Grover Norquist is saying McCain's just pissed because he didn't get a cut of the action.

Maybe this will get some legs.
