Apologies; I usually try to source stuff, but by the time I got around to reading and posting it, I’d forgotten where the original link came from.
Just kiddin ’round. Important thing is that I agree with the points made. My concern is the amount of legislation centered around this shift in technology.
Thhis whole problem of converting from common law rights to legal system rights is dealt with extensively by DeSoto. “The Mystery of Capitalism” should be required reading. By the MPAA and RIAA.
Typically those who do not wish to recognize common law rights lose. It is happening to the DRM people. It has happened every time the issue has come up.
