  1. And now to Eden, yeah, brother, yeah.

  2. I am not Herbert.

  3. Gonna live like a king on whatever I find
I’ll eat all the fruit and throw away the rind

  4. Didn’t you blog this a month ago?

  5. Lookin’ for the goodland,
    Goin’ astray.
    Don’t cry,
    Don’t cry.
    Oh I can’t have honey
    And I can’t have cream
    Goin’ live not die,
    Goin’ live not die.
Standin’ in the middle of it all one day.
Look at it shining around me and say.
    I’m here,
    I’m here.
    In the goodland,
    in the new land,
    I’m here.

  6. Heading out to eden,
    Yeah brother.
    Heading out to eden,
    Yeah brother.
    No more trouble
In my body or my mind.
Goin’ to live like a king
    On whatever I find.
    Eat all the fruit
    And throw away the rind.
    Yeah brother, yeah.

    Steppin’ out to eden,
    Yeah brother.
    Steppin’ out to eden,
    Yeah brother.
    No more trouble
In my body or my mind.
Goin’ to live like a king
    On whatever I find.
    Eat all the fruit
    And throw away the rind.
    Yeah brother.

  7. can someone fill this youngster in already?

  8. Anyway, it’s a good rebuttle. Too bad there’s not much saying here.

  9. Jim — it’s acid!

  10. Everybody’s talkin’ ’bout a new way of walkin’

Do you want to lose your mind?

  11. This thread is way too dorky for me, and I’m a librarian.

  12. They said in the fifties that Rock’n’roll would destroy US.
The races would mix, kids would do dope, do sex,
live together outside marriage, and if married,
the open marriages would lead to d-i-v-o-r-c-e, and little fatherless bastards would abound,
and the turn on, tune in, drop out kids would never mature.
Don’t trust anyone over 50, peace, brother!

  13. “I seem to remember their off-key caterwauling on the old Sullivan show”

    M Burns

  14. I frequent a local game store where one of the employees has both Grateful Dead AND a Bush/Cheney 2004 plasterd on his car.

    Go figure.

  15. I frequent a local game store where one of the employees has both Grateful Dead AND a Bush/Cheney 2004 stickers plastered on his car.

    Go figure.

  16. “You say the music’s for the birds
And you can’t understand the words
    But, Honey if you did
    You’d really flip your lid
‘Cos Baby, that is Rock ‘n’ Roll.”

The Coasters (words and music by Lieber and Stoller)

  17. Connect the dots department:

Big-name entertainers make a kazillion dollars per performance, and are surrounded by people who are dependent on getting a cut of the cash.

However Danny Goldberg assumes they will support the candidates of tax-the-rich-and-give-it-to-the-poor.
