The Stink of Martha's Money
Convicted conspirer Martha Stewart gave something like $157,000 to Democrats over the past few years, reports Foxnews.com.
Some high-profile Dems (e.g., Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton) are returning the dough; others aren't. Will it become a campaign issue? Sure, why not? It will be fun to see pro-business GOP candidates, whom one assumes felt that Martha was unfairly prosecuted in the first place, attacking Dems who rail against the privileges of the wealthy and the well-connected.

Why, Nick, would anyone assume that GOPsters felt Martha was prosecuted unfairly? They control the federal government from top to bottom. Argue over who crucified Jesus all you want, but there is no question about who drove the nails thru Martha's well-manicured hands.

Uh, Sir Real, you did know that Ken "Kenny Boy" Lay served on the Heinz Center board for a decade, right? He only left shortly before John "French" Kerry started bashing Enron. There's even a page at johnkerry.com that bashes Ken Lay himself.
In Martha news, word on the street is that she's already putting together her own prison crew. It's going to be called BBB: Bitches Behind Bars. Dont' even think that Martha's losing control. If I were Paris Hilton or her mom, I'd stop trying to be a style diva or I'd start watching my back. Word to your decorator.
Well, Sam Waksal was a great GOP target, but I curse, curse, curse the SEC for making me take Martha's side in this.
Next thing you know, I'll clean up my office.
Nah.
It's been obvious from day 1 that Martha was a trophy buck for an SEC that needed to put a head on its wall. This is just one more reason why the admin picked her to be the target.
Gee, I don't feel so bad about it now.
Joe should love this line from the article:
"A study by the Internet group TalkLeft -- which tracks crime-related political news -- claims that if felons were able to vote, 70 percent of them would vote Democratic."
Bring it on-
And when Ken Lay (Kenny Boy to Shrubya) goes under (and he will), we'll return the favor and look through his old reciepts.
Free Speech all around- Yee Haa!
"We"?
Maybe Babs will visit her from time to time.
This whole Martha Stewart thing is such a travisty! I devoted a comic to this topic.

It really is like they are throwing her to the lions, to cover their own assets!
nobody-
You haven't forgotten about that horrible, liberal media already, have you?
Maybe if Martha reads that so many at H&R came to her defense she'll quit giving to the Dems...
What ever, it was still right to defend her. Principle makes for strange bedfellows.
Ok, I'm really tired, and I've had a couple margaritas tonight, but "word to your decorator" is the funniest thing I've heard all day...
I'm still not entirely clear on why they're returning the money.
$157,000 is a lot more than Martha saved on the Imclone trade, and Martha's got plenty of money, so it's not a case of "ill gotten gains".
