The Giant Red Spot is about to met the big blue streak.
Maybe Jupiter is about to become the second star at last...
    a al 2010, a space odyssey.
Maybe it is a mood ring sign regarding the movie,
    The Passion of the Christ.
Both came out about the same time.

Oh my god, it's full of stars.

  3. Mark S.   21 years ago

GAH! Everyone beat me to all the good 2010 references! Oh well...

    "What's going to happen?"

    "Something wonderful."

  4. Douglas Fletcher   21 years ago

    Spielberg directed it, right?

ALL THESE WORLDS ARE YOURS EXCEPT EUROPA ... ATTEMPT NO LANDINGS THERE ...

  6. Warren   21 years ago

    Spielberg!?
BZZZZZZZZZ Sorry no, but thank you for playing.
2010 was directed by Peter Hyams (also directed Capricorn One).

BTW the book is subtitled "Odyssey Two" (film: "The Year We Make Contact")

    Keep those references coming.
Bonus round points to the one that identifies the 2010 allusion found in my every post.

    I'm sorry Warren, I'm afraid I can't do that.

I'm so jealous now! I always wanted to be a xenometeorologist when I was a kid, and this is exactly why. I was anticipating the monoliths.

IT IS DANGEROUS TO REMAIN HERE. YOU MUST LEAVE WITHIN FIFTEEN REPEAT FIFTEEN DAYS.

See what happens when you ignore environmental issues? Shame on them.

  13. Steven Crane   21 years ago

Warren, is that a reference to 2010? It's been a while since I read the book...

  14. Douglas Fletcher   21 years ago

Jesus, and I thought I wasted a lot of time reading all the posts on the BGRASS-L. Silly me.
