Gillespie on CNN
Tonight on CNN's Paula Zahn Now you can watch Nick Gillespie expose his views on the FCC's reaction to the Super Bowl halftime show. The program airs at 8 pm eastern and his segment will appear around 8:30, hopefully without enhanced tape delay.

I'm sorry Nick, but the only way i'll be watching you at 8pm on Thursdays is if you are on Survivor
I wouldn't admit that publicly, JP.
Nick, *my friend*, you went for the throat and took a chunk. Bravo!
A transcript of the program is available (at least at the time I'm typing this).
Nick, you wanted to say something at the end, but Paula Zahn cut you off. What were you going to say?
This debate seemed like something that would be on E.
The argument shouldn't be whether the act was shocking or not, but rather if the FCC entering the fray is legal, necessary, etc.
I mean, the NFL has already said that it will not tolerate such things and is not going to allow MTV to do their halftime shows again, so it seems to me they are going to self-censor quite well on their own. So, what's the point in the FCC getting involved. The delay systems are not mandated, but something the stations are doing to cover their ass. For fear of being fined or fear of public outcry and loss of advertisers. Probably both.
Watch cable/satellite, who cares what CBS and those awful stations do anyway. If they get regulated to death, that just means that something more interesting will come around. Even the guy Nick was arguing with used the argument about CBS being a broadcast station and not having as much trouble with cable tv and stations that warn of adult content.
I'm sure a 5 minute segment on CNN is not sufficient enough for anyone to make a good argument.
Russell,
I can't remember! But I am glad to have made a new friend in Mr. Bozell.
How "now" is she? 🙂
Nice leather jacket. Where'd you get it?
Too bad only five minutes. But then, much more of Paula's deer-in-the-headlights vapidity would have given me convulsions.
