Could Bush's baffling SOTU remarks about steroids in sports -- couched in terms of voluntary compliance -- actually have consequences?

Yea, ephidra linked to 100 deaths... doesnt it seem funny that the number just increased 10 times from the last report on ephidra deahts? I seem to remember just a few weeks ago the press was telling me ephidra was linked to 10 deaths, now its a hundred... what next week will it be a 1000???

Of course, they over look the 100 deaths that will occur today directly from alcohol or semi directly by smoking, both legal, both unmentioned in the SotU.

No, this isnt a post about banning smoking or alcohol, just pointing out the hypocracy of these so called, health issues by the current and former administrations.

    late for the boom:

So, 100 deaths directly from alcohol? Alcohol poisoning or drunk driving? And isn't a death from drunk driving as directly related to alcohol as a death from lung cancer is directly related to smoking? I'm confused ...

to add ephedra to baseball's list of prohibited substances...The supplement has been linked to more than 100 deaths

AHHHH! The stupid fuckers are still doing it!!! When you drink coffee, snort cocaine, and then pop ephedra supplements, you are probably going to die. Blame it on the ephedra, then scratch your head and wonder why people have drug problems. I can link toasters to 100 deaths on my lunch break. Are these really college-educated people who run our country? I get the feeling that there's some Lord Of the Flies shit going on, like ten year olds are running the show or something.

Anyway the most important message was obscured completely, that it wasn't a government responsibility to fix the sports issue. So naturally what happens? Some jackass drafts a bill.

    You gotta love this place.
