Clickety Clark, Way Off Track
Dem prez candidate Wesley Clark went to New Hampshire, land of fiercely independent and quirky media, to decry media consolidation. If he isn't even going to bother to stick his head outside the campaign bubble, Clark could at least read about the real world.

People who enjoy their quirky, localist newspapers would appear to be a prime audience for an anti-media monopoly campaign. If they like it so much, they won't want to lose it.
I find the Clark comments more alarming with regard to his concern over violent video games. He seems rather conservative on some of the social issues, like banning flag burning, and I think the lack of knowledge on where he stands on some of these things should worry his supporters.
The problem, joe, at least up here in the, finally, frozen north, is that most of those quirky small town rags are owned by the big media gloms.
