Most people would probably prefer to take a town car to the airport and, up until now, they charged flat rates comparable to regular yellow taxis. I would hope that some of the local large business interests that contract with car services for airport rides take issue with this!

Anecdotal as this may be, my brother lives in Tampa and believes it is one the most corrupt cities in the country. City and county commisioners are regularly indicted for bribery and what not.
