My Secret Life
A.K.A. Shameless Self- (and Magazine) Promotion.
Mediabistro.com, a popular journalism site, interviewed me about my and Reason's past, present, and future. Results are online here. (Warning: Corey Haim and Feldman references).

Is that leather jacket painted onto your body? Every picture I've ever seen of you, every TV appearance, there it is.
Just kidding. Good interview, Nick.
Gillespie looks like a young Reni Santoni i.e., Stallone's partner in "Cobra." With the Robert Urich "Vega$$$" leather jacket of course.
Concerned Citizen,
There are some things in American culture I am glad that I am ignorant of. 🙂
The conservative is the father. The leftist is the mother. The libertarian is the gun-toting weed-smoking older brother who talks you into nailing the babysitter.
While you, Mr. Gillespie, certainly aren't my favorite writer at Reason, and i sometimes do fret you might just run it into the ground, I guess you do seem to have a grasp on what makes Reason a good mag. Specifically, in the interview, you show you understand that one of Reason's strongest virtues is that it isn't overly obssesed with politics. Just as long as you don't lose sight of the defense of free markets in your zeal for exploring the free mind, Reason will continue to be worth the price of subscprition in a world where nothing else really is (to a jobless college kid).
Wow: Nick and Wes Clark, separated at birth?

And appearing in the role of Spenser, (for hire)
nick...please...stop yourself. everything you post is just further examples of Reason's Likudnik agenda. You make me sick!
It just occurred to me...Why should there be any "shame" in self-promotion anyway? The world will be, at least, a little better off as you guys make progress toward your subscription target.
Kudos Nick! (Ohoh; that sounds phonetically
like "(Likudnik) agenda"...which I think, and hope is as close as Reason is or ever will get to the same.
twistedmerkin,
Now you've made me still regret that I'm an only child.
Where was the guidance I REALLY needed?
And hey, what's the matter with self-promotion... at least up to the point it causes one to wear glasses?

Just as a solid rock is not shaken by the storm, even so the wise are not affected by praise or blame.
