Candidate: I Was 'Pushed, Shoved, Hit and Kicked'
Georgy Russell, the cute software engineer running for California governor, attended a Schwarzenegger rally Oct. 4 in Pleasanton, and says she was "pushed, shoved, hit and kicked" by Arnold's fans. According to her campaign press release,
She was repeatedly called a "bitch" and one of the Arnold Supporters wrote on her clothing with a permanent marking pen. The felonious abusers, who claimed to be provoked by remarks from Russell, were near equal numbers of men and women and no one during the incident came to Russell's aid.

Jay, I think she wants the fate of California's young people to be determined by California's young people, seeing as she's running as the Youth/Geek Candidate. I think she's referring to the Boomer-dominated political agenda.
So you're in favor of parents being the sole arbiters of their children's fates even after they've reached voting age, then? That doesn't sound very libertarian to me.

Can anyone say STRAWMAN?
May have lost a bit of context in that nugget. I should have included her next line about making universal preschool a reality. In other words, having the state shoulder parent's responsibility of raising their own children
"Wow, and from the recallgraydavis.com web site, quoting from a FoxNews story! Instant credibility!"
Versus a campaign website, quoting from... er, themselves. At least Fox News was well ahead of the rest of the media in reporting on Graham dropping out. Maybe this Georgy was attacked and if so shame on the people involved for doing it, but this sort of stuff happens a lot, sadly, like last year's attack on a Republican at a Paul Wellstone rally.
Pushed, shoved, hit, kicked... what, no groping? These Arnold supporters need to focus... an attractive female shows up, and zero offers of group sex are forthcoming.
Anyhow, I'm sure all the hostility is due to the fact that the Georgy campaign presents such an imminent threat.

Show some perspective. You're willing to believe a single woman with no witnesses, and not a substantial group of people interviewed by a credible news organization?
Sounds like you're letting your hate get in the way of rational thought. Odds are that both stories are true; people partisan enough to mobilize in support of a candidate frequently display a mob mentality.
Fox News lost all credibility in my eyes for its attempts to treat claims of French weapons, passports, etc. as reality. None of these accusations ever proved to have any validity, and it was obvious that Fox News was simply trying to bash France with trumped up accusations. I did notice that they've been burned so many times in the past that the latest Polish accusation, which turned out to be an embarressing fiasco for the Poles, was not reported on their website.
Gee, if I'd known there was someone so cute running for governor, I would've moved to California to vote for her! 😀
"Fox News lost all credibility in my eyes for its attempts to treat claims of French weapons, passports, etc. as reality."
I don't know about passports, but the idea of French weapons is so silly, I can't believe anyone would even lie about it.
Not bad, I wouldn't mind seeing her and Brooke engage in a tickle fight.
Loved this little nugget from Georgy's platform:
"We must not let the fate of California's young people be determined solely by their parents"
God forbid!
Fox News jumping on the bandwagon and running bs stories about weapons in Iraq?
Uh huh, like that would ever happen.
I have to wonder what another candidate for governor was doing heckling Arnold's rally, especially right after the Dems pulled out their bag of dirty tricks. Yes, she has a right to speak her mind, but the myrmidons that show up at those rallies just don't give a care about her rights... or her safety for that matter.
I've noticed an incredible amount of hostility amongst the liberal and conservative factions over the past few years... and this has been in the works long before 9/11/01. Given the rabid attitudes of some of these diehard political wonks, I'm glad Georgy was at least able to walk away on her own two feet with some bruises and an autographed shirt.
wow and she has witnesses too? if not, nice for her to jump on the slander bandwagon.
What a freak show.
Love those Schwarzenegger supporters. Good-hearted, classy people. Just like their hero!
Some Republicans are assholes. Is that news to anybody?
Tsk tsk, folks get so bent out of shape over politics. You'd think it was football or something!!

by Gray Davis Thugs: Women and Children Among Those Victimized
I smell Bob Mulholland and the Democratic machine behind this. The Davis-Mulholland axis must go - and it will by the end of the day.
Parallels to fascism abound. While not serious in isolation; the trend should scare people.

Why would anyone pick on that cute little thing? Dishonorable slapdicks.
Kinda like CNN running BS stories on nerve gas in 'nam, or the BBC and their BS stories on the rescue of Pvt. Jessica Lynch. Or, for that matter, the NY Times, and their BS stories.
CNN retracted the story and fired Arnett. So when do we get to see Brit Hume sending out resumes?
